As you can see in a thread I made a few days ago, I thought Gn'R would start touring casinos. Now that Las Vegas is officially in mind, I think Axl will start touring smaller clubs and casinos around the United States. Buckcherry and The Beach Boys played at Grand Casino a few weeks ago. Does this mean the basketball arena tours in the USA are over and do you expect another USA tour anytime soon?

Nope. Not at all. And again the joint is a venue part of the hard rock.

I'm not quite sure a hard rock residency is much better than a casino residency.

I hope they tour casinos. There's one an hour from where I live, I'd check em out if the price is right.

The thing that has been getting to me these few days are dumb clueless people with no knowledge writing that the residency thing is a joke. A joke why? Alot of top artists do it. Crüe just did it, and are on a successful tour with Kiss. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are going to do it. I am in no way a country fan, but do know facts. Fact is Tim is part of the highest grossing tour of the summer. Here is the proof.http://blog.gactv.com/blog/2012/07/20/kenny-chesney-tim-mcgraw-have-highest-grossing-summer-tour/ and now he is doing this residency thing. Is it because he is washed up and can't do it, nope! And either is Guns. It is just a thing an artist works out with a venue. I am sure Axl is happy. Bands are usually happy when they get gigs and get paid. I guess that is what the haters forget! As a fan I will be going and enjoying. And I am with most, I hope they are working on new material while in Vegas. For a venue and hotel to have faith in a band to play multiple shows is something positive. I can't wait to hear the bs the haters will say. Never with a point proven, just rambling from their computers. Go outside and learn something.

Blah blah gay sex blah blah congres.

Gnr has much more in common with foreigner and Boston than Tim McGraw and faith hill. Nostalgia Act. Get over it. It's okay. They're a pretty good one.

I knew you couldn't counter back just the same crap you write in every thread. Your opinion , which I respect. But I like to prove points.

Look I don't really have a problem with the Vegas residency thing, but you can't even acknowledge that a Vegas residency is generally viewed as a place for over the hill acts? There's no question a residency is a lucrative enterprise. It's a great idea for the band at this point in time. If I were around there I'd see them.

But to hold any illusions they're anything more than a nostalgia act, especially at this point, is sort of senseless. There's nothing wrong with the fact they're a nostalgia act. The only thing is is that it's sad to see a band that could have been a nostalgia act in stadiums like the rolling stones is now a nostalgia act at the hard rock cafe.

I see your points and agree with some of your words. I cant agree with the residency thing being for over the hill acts. Over the hill acts can't fill seats.
