''Slash's songs'' is the most hilarious thing I've read in this thread.

I know it's quite hilarious :rofl-lol:

Um, it's the exact same thing you posted but just on the other side of the spectrum.

"They are GNR songs. GNR = Axl"

1 + 1 = 2

You claim they are Axl's songs. Legally and logically, you're wrong.

No one could script you better than you already are.

I didn't call them "Axl songs"

They are GNR songs.

I never get when anyone tries to simplify the equation of the band to one or two people. Even Marc Canter stated that back then it didn't matter who was in the band first or even "founded" the band, it was a collective of everyone involved - no more, no less. At least with the material from the 80's and even 90's (albiet less collaborative but still everyone was important). We all know what is the case now, but that isn't representative of what was the case then

The GUNS N 'ROSES as announced earlier by the same vehicle, will make a season almost a month in Las Vegas, during which twelve shows will be presented in show house at Hard Rock Cafe.

During his residency at the site of the band - from October 31 to November 24 - the band will play the album 'Appetite For Destruction in its entirety to celebrate its 25 years of release.

Is a website called "playadelnacho" being used as the confirmation for this info?

They didn't supply links to any other source.

The official announcement reads as such:

The series of 12 shows starts Oct. 31 and wraps up Nov. 24 at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The concerts, on the heels of the 25th anniversary of Appetite for Destruction, will cull hits from that 1987 debut through 2008's Chinese Democracy. Tickets, starting at $45, go on sale Friday (details at thejointlasvegas.com).

It is what you posted. When Slash and Duff are no longer receiving money for the material, then your lame attempt to dismember them from the material will be relevant.

So all of this is for nothing. I am never overestimating my fellow forumites' abilities to find valid sources again.

People comparing this to other bands playing entire albums are reaching for straws. Those situations are nothing close to being similar to Axl's current band.

No offence it is exactly the same situation.

Like Megadeth doing Rust In Peace last year.

That was the exactly same situation, Groghan.

I hang out at the Megadeth forum sometimes and this was not a problem. They were very excited and very greatful for the Rust In Peace anniversary gig.

GNR has some of the most annoying and pathetic "fans" on earth.

That's actually a great analogy, volcano. Marty Friedman and Nick Menza were not a part of the 20th Anniversary tour for Rust In Peace, and yet it happened and everyone I know that likes Megadeth really enjoyed that experience.

Playing AFD in it's entirety is a great way to take fans minds off the line up that recorded it.

Wait.

No.

Ye but you were wrong dude. Axl + Izzy = GN'R.

Thanks for the correction. Whats ironic both of them snubbed the HOF :shrugs:

And something tells me both of them will be in Vegas.

izzy is the guy who said refering to fakegnr : "It's obviously not Guns N'Roses, everybody knows that."

This is so different. Most of Rust in Peace is never played, usually only 3 songs with some of them never having been played live before. Most of Appetite is played every god damn night. Dave Mustaine is Megadeth, Axl is only a part of GNR. Very different situations.

No, it isn't. Marty Friedman and Nick Menza were integral portions of Megadeth and were not around for the RIP anniversary tour. How many songs from AFD are played on a nightly basis is irrelevant.

I tried pointing this out myself, but I think when an opportunity comes up to take the ball, run and make some potshots, it will be taken, unfortunately.

Well, at the moment, apparantly so..considering the source.

Let's just close this one down until any official confirmation turns up.

It's just turning into another derailed shitfest anyway. :shrugs:

Thread reopens if this indeed turns out to be true.
