rock4eva Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 So management is bringing girls to the tour bus so Axl can tell them stories about Slash? Seriously?Axl talks about Slash all the time. He even discussed Slash in the interview with Trunk, Slash here, Slash there, this Slash, not Slash, when Slash, so Slash. It's not bad at all. They were more than friends at some point. We need a photo of his keyboard to see if he has removed the "slash" keys!!

RussTCB Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 This was added to the original story:Edit august 17, 2012 : On Twitter, Andrei Gillott refutes this story saying it’s “Complete Fabrication. Just someone hungry for some attention.” Let’s add that before putting this account online, we saw Andrei Gillott’s business card, the VIP pass given to our witness, guitar picks from all the band members that had been given to her too, not to mention the picture at the beginning of our article showing our witness and Axl Rose. Besides, we got in touch with two other girls who were at this party through Facebook to see if their side of the story was matching, and that was the case. For all of these reasons, we consider this account credible.
Freddie Mercury's Ghost Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Good to know it's true - it's a cool story.I'm happy that Axl respects/likes the creative output that Slash has done in recent years. Maybe the anti-Slash fans can finally cool down since AXL ROSE HIMSELF doesn't mind Slash's solo work at this point.

karemaleixo Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Axl Roses suggests that we finish the evening in his tour-bus. Seeing us hesitating, he begins to tell us that sex, drugs and alcohol aren’t his thing anymore : he is now chaste, pure and goes to mass Edit: Mass is Catholic Church). He says in a teasing way that he doesn’t want to kidnap us and have problems with the French police.is it true????now he is chaste and pure????????????
trqster Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 What a stupid childish fantasy story... Jesus people grow up!

Sweersa Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Sounds a little fake to me. Although I will say 'By The Sword" is a fantastic song. Would love to hear Axl sing it.Me tool, I've always imagined how he would sound on it.One problem in this story is she says they had to turn her phones off and then later on says her ringtone prompted Axl to talk about Slash and Live and Let Die.Perhaps she never turned the phone off or turned it back on later. Dariablue Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 God we need facepalm back. She probably meant they were talking about the song and she mentioned it was her ringtone. Thus, Axl 'hearing' it was her ringtone.

I don't buy the reporter being legit either. Seems like a complete fabrication.

Makes sense to me. She didn't meet Axl till after the show, a few hours later. By then she had turned her phone back on. That makes sense to me too.
axlsalinger Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Who knows if it's true, but people's reading comprehension continues to be extremely poor. We know Axl still drinks, in fact in this very story he walks into a room carrying a bottle of champagne. He may have been joking about the rock n' roll cliche of "sex, drugs and rock and roll", maybe she said alcohol instead, maybe something was lost in translation. Regarding the story about Slash's grandmother, Axl may have said "back when we were young" or "when we were kids" because he's now 50 years old. He could easily refer to himself as a kid when he was 21. I will also add that I have heard 'By the Sword' on the radio at least 5 or 6 times in 2012. And I rarely listen to the radio. But that song does get a lot of airplay, in Canada at least. The whole thing is very plausible.

Who knows.

It's clearly not the case but the fact that he has the self awareness to joke about it puts them at ease.People are taking that part too literally. It's obviously a joke and shows the girls that although clearly he isn't a choirboy, he is aware of their pre conceptions about rockstars and makes light of it to show its not an issue and they're not gonna get pregnant or have coke shoved up their ass all night.

There's a mutual taking advantage of each other when that happens. Some of those girls are looking for the payday, or just want the DNA so their little brat can have a shot at being a star. It would be interesting to find out if he actually did go the professional matchmaker route or has been a Match member. Not that he needs it, but maybe he wanted to meet some hippie artsy chick who could care less about GNR and wanted to go see Ben Harper with him.
axlsalinger Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Also, anyone surprised that Axl Rose has at least some level of interest in Catholicism, is apparently not that bright.
Todo Poderoso Timão Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Honestly, sounds a little fake, or at least odd.Though after that video in which Axl talks about Slash and his book in Paraguay, I wouldn't doubt it. Edited August 18, 2012 by Todo Poderoso Timão
PITBOSS Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 the story is probably b.s., but when it comes to using the songs for things like ringtones you don't think they all have a say in it whether it's 1994 or 2004?
Bards Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Also, anyone surprised that Axl Rose has at least some level of interest in Catholicism, is apparently not that bright. That pic goes real well with your sig
KiraMPD Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Okay, I believe the whole going to the after party and trailer bit. The overall setting of the story is not entirely unbelievable to be fair. But the parts which claims how Axl goes on and on about Slash just reads like a bad slaxl fanfic...
