Twinaleblood Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) Seen this in the thread about Axl attending an Allman Brothers Band's show:In other news, ContactMusic.com is reporting that late THE CLASH rocker Joe Strummer contributed guitar for "Janky Holocaust", a track recorded for the long-awaited GUNS N' ROSES album "Chinese Democracy", two weeks before his death. Rose has since reportedly ditched the tune from the finished album.(Source: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=50281)Wtf? It's the very first time I hear about this collaboration and this song title. Is it true that Strummer did some studio work with Axl in 2002? Sounds weird to me. Was it proven to be fake later? EDIT: i see that the date of that Blabbermouth article is march 29. Was that news about Strummer a sort of april's fool a couple of days before april? Edited August 20, 2012 by Twinaleblood
Twinaleblood Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) Yeah, very likely, but then question is: did Strummer actually work with Axl or was it just a rumor? Edited August 20, 2012 by Twinaleblood
John Bonham Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 That was part of Chuck Klosterman's April Fools joke review.
Twinaleblood Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 Was that the fake review that appeared on Spin's website?Alright, you can lock this thread then. :xmasssanta:
