Guest Len B'stard Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Amazing lyrics for a Manc' scally that was off his tits 99% of the time i reckon. Quote
Snake Eyes Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Bez did a dj set in my town the other day. Just got some other guy to pick the tunes, he spent the whole time pretending to swim whilst spilling jager bombs down himself.Funny guy. Quote

There are a lot of bands around today better than The Happy Mondays, you just have the old nostalgia goggles on again. The only great band to come out of the whole Madchester scene was the Stone Roses. Inspiral Carpets weren't bad either. Quote

Not a terrible band by any means but I really only like a handful of their songs (Step On/Kinky Afro/Loose Fit) whereas I could listen to the Stone Roses debut from start to finish easily without skipping a single track. It's actually quite good y'know, Squirrel and the G Men, it's sort of overlooked too though which is a bit odd. Give it a whirl if you ain't already, might change your mind Quote

Don't recognise any of the songs off G Men bar 24 Hour Party People so yeah I'll give that one a go. Quote
