UYI documentary

It might not happen any time 'soon' for the following reasons:

1. Slash & Duff had sued Axl for damaging the name of original Guns N Roses. Their theory was that Axl's 1992-93 contract stated that if there were problems brewing Axl would quit the band and take the name with him. Which kinda means that Axl has nothing to do with original GNR. So all decisions regarding previous version of GNR (Appetite/Lies/UYI/Spaghetti), merchandise, videos, releases in movies, games etc. were to be made by Slash & Duff primarily and Axl as well.

So, it would be too much of a hassle to release anything related to original GNR. Thats why Live era & Greatest Hits were so reluctantly released. And thats why Axl changed the Sweet Child o Mine version to the 'Figaro' live version.

2. UYI is over. Axl does not live in the past nor does he has anything to do with that era. That would mean he is releasing and publicizing original GNR instead of his current project.

3. Clearances from management, previous members, people included in the video, effort to be taken to make the video upto the standards of today's blue ray generation etc etc. Neither of the original GNR members have any will to promote previous GNR as well.

It can only leak on the internet if someone has the balls to edit basically 2.5 years of home videos. And that means a lot of trouble to be taken by some people for no money.

1. Wha? Told you that did he?

2. Aside from playing songs from that era at shows you mean

Such an odd thing for a singer not to release. Sure, he may be sitting on it just to spite Slash......but is that more important than doing something that literally millions of his fans would love???

To Axl?.....yes.....

I hope that isn't true.

Life is so much more enjoyable if you do things out of love and happiness rather than anger and hate.

You would hope that Axl would care more about his millions of fans than he does about one man he hates.

Answers:

1. We're all giving our interpretation and opinions here. Nobodys getting straight answers from him any time 'soon'.

2. Well he was a part of original GNR as well. So everyone can play it. But he rarely talks or promotes the original GNR. Sadly that era is the only achievement people remember him and other members for.

To Axl, absolutely. I don't think the fans are something he takes into consideration the majority of the time (99.9%). He doesn't owe us, remember? Hell, I don't even think he likes us all that much.

It would have to be up to Duff, Axl, and Slash to approve it. I don't think it would be a hassle but there would have to be a reason to release it that they'd all be on board with. Don't think of it as Axl hoarding unreleased stuff.

It also has to have entertainment value to it, and tell some sort of a story.
