Carlos Castaneda Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) Marc,You have mentioned that your book was scheduled for publication in '94 and that the reason it was was due to your agent requiring a high advance. Robert's book came out in '93 with a forward from Axl,too. Do you have any details on why his book was published or supported more by Axl? His book was amazing , but your book would have been more relevant at the time. Also do you think the title itself was a clue that the band was over? Why release a book called "the photographic history" so early in the bands career? Did robert know the band was over? What does he do now? I realy just would like to know what you know of his book's publication. Edited September 24, 2012 by Carlos Castaneda

I realy just would like to know what you know of his book's publication.Axl supported both books. At the time I didn't ask anyone from the band to write a forward. I was waiting until I found a publisher. I thought that I would do the forward stuff at the end. Axl did look at my first draft a few times and loved it. Robert still does photo shoots and he does Video work. As far as the name of Robert's book, I think it was a good name for it since it covered 8 years of the band and not just the UYI stuff. At the time I was working on Reckless Road, Del was working on the Band Bio. Since the band fell a part, his book didn't get published and is still probably a work in progress. No one knew that the band was going to have problems a year latter. Edited September 24, 2012 by recklessroad
