GNR123GNR456 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I want:Axl talking about new music, or even announce a release date for a new album.Talking about the Vegas shows and what to expect.Promoting the new bandAxl being normal and funny. What I expect:Nothing new talked about or announced.Axl talking about the Vegas shows the most out of the interview.
finck6 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 you won't get what you want. you get what you expect. and that's nothing
liers Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 Something will happen. Something big.I'd like to think that, it's his second interview in a year (11/11/11 TMS), so hopefully thats a sign, it's definately unusual for him. Even more unusual for him to do an interview on a show that isn't really music related. Hopefully it's something big, but knowing Axl I don't really know that we should expect/look forward to much.
Coma16 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I think Axl will tell some random funny stories.
SoulMonster Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I hope he will tell about the short and long term plans for Guns N' Roses. I expect he won't talk about the short and long terms plans for Guns N' Roses.
spunko12345 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I just hope he isn't consumed with hatred when inevitably he's asked about slash.I just hope he is respectful towards ex members and excited about the future.
finck6 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I hope he will tell about the short and long term plans for Guns N' Roses. I expect he won't talk about the short and long terms plans for Guns N' Roses.why should axl talk about short and long term plans for guns n roses on jimmy kimmel? what does axl owe you?
scans n' copies Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I just hope Axl doesn't remember that Kimmel is the one who first allowed Slash, Duff, and Matt to publicly play---I mean defile---Paradise City with Cypress Hill. I totally forgot about that until now. I'm normally a fan of different versions of songs, but that was just terrible.Seriously though---- I think anybody expecting anything more than softballs and Vegas talk is gonna be disappointed. It'll still be really great to see Axl in an almost live (taped 6-8 hours earlier) interview. It would be a great opportunity to show he can take the piss out of himself and do some skit or something, but I think that's asking way too much. This London show-movie trailer thing that's popped up has me wondering if there might be some promoting of that included as well. Probably not because if that was for the US they wouldn't have said "cinema" in the trailer. And it doesn't sound like Kimmel is shown abroad.
Axl_morris Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I'm not really bothered what he talks about but what I think he will talk about is...The charity shows, the Vegas residency and the new (possibly DVD) from the london show being released and possibly unreleated banter nothing to do with gnr.
Guest Sleeping Like An Angel Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I won't even bother calling out what I'd like but I imagine it's just promoting the Vegas tour. At best we can probably hear about some new music I guess? Fingers crossed!!
ARX77 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I too hope he's not all covered up in hat, jacket and sunglasses but in the end I don't really care. The one thing that makes me think this interview is more than just to promote appetite for democracy is that it airs a few days prior to the residency actually starting. I would think a promotional interview would be a month prior or at least a couple of weeks to give people time to plan trips. It'll be cool to see Axl doing an interview. Looking forward to it
izzygirl Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 It's Jimmy Kimmel, so I expect a funny interview and I expect he refers to some controversial subjects, at least as a joke. I really think this can be a good interview!
KingB2179 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I expect that it will be worse than the TMS interview due to the demographic for this particular show.

ronartest2004 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I'd love talk of a new album, doubt it will happen, but one can dream.
Val22 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I want Axl to talk about the Vegas shows and why the band is doing them? Also, if he ever intends to write and/or record new music with this band or as a solo artists.I really don't want to hear any talk about the original members. It's been 20 + years, let it go.I want to know the here and now and the near future plans of Axl and GNR.If Axl does open up about other stuff that would be great, but yeah, after TMS interview, I felt I still didn't know what Axl wants to do with this band? JK needs to ask Axl more direct questions and hopefully Axl will answer them.Fans want to know if there's a future for Axl and GNR. Otherwise, after awhile of seeing them do the same stuff, no one will care anymore.I don't want GNR to become another POISON. They are better than that!
Randy Lahey Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) I hope Axl shows the world how funny he is on Jimmy Kimmel. The dude actually has a serious sense of humor. Edited October 1, 2012 by Randy Lahey
TiedHands Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I really expect him to come across as very funny and likable. I don't expect there to be any ex-member talk, Jimmy might ask him something about the RNRHOF, might make a few light-hearted jokes about late start times, riots, etc. They'll talk about the Bridge shows, the Vegas stuff, and I expect some fluff talk about how they're looking at options on how to get the next album, etc. Nothing groundbreaking, but it'll be a huge opportunity for Axl to come across as something other than a heel...
Chuloputas Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 i want slash to make a surprise guest appearance during the show
Gunzen Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 i want slash to make a surprise guest appearance during the show No hat, and just to be personable.
