Might be interesting if that is a single gig or they intend to start another Asia tour?

Three gigs so far:

December 5: Gurgaon, India (unconfirmed)

December 7: Mumbai, India (unconfirmed)

December 9: Bangalore, India (unconfirmed)

Thanks did not hear about that before! Remember that Iron Maiden did a gig there a while ago; always kind of surprises me that not more bands tour a huge market like India!

Yeah, it must be out of nostalgia they keep on touring low value markets like the US while neglecting high value markets like India and Asia in general.

No sarcasm...USA is a dwindling market for GN'R, other markets are much bigger.

More bands don't do it because it's not profitable to lug your gear that far unless you're gonna do quite a few shows, and even then, the distance between major market cities is so massive and usually involves crossing water. Maiden were only able to break into Asia because of Ed Force One.

That and India is known for shady business practices that usually turns off most major bands. Moreover, the GDP per capita in India is $2500, compare that with most developed nations and you understand why large bands that usually demand high ticket prices might not want to travel around the world. Yeah, it's a bigger market in terms of people, but there's very few people in India who could afford $50-$100 concert tickets.

GnR fans can expect biggest rock concert ever in India: Mooz Entertainment

Speaking to Radioandmusic.com (RnM), Mooz Entertainment VP marketing Dilip Ramachandran said that GnR fans will be treated to a world class show. "In terms of all light, sound, stage and other requirements, we will be following the Guns N Roses International Tech rider . In effect what the audience will see and hear is exactly the same exacting international standard. The production value of the concerts and the quality of sound & light will be awesome," Ramachandaran said.

He said the concerts would be the biggest of its kind ever to be held in the country and every base was being covered to ensure it went without a hitch.

I told BBF if they are goin to India, they should stop by to Philippines too! He said he would love to be here and Indonesia.

Did he say that before the Jakarta announcement? He let it slip. But they just announced "only southeast Asia show", so if they did that, it would be false advertising... but then again, once the date's getting close might tack on extra dates.

Before the Jakarta announcement. Maybe he was dropping a clue about Jakarta, but about Philippines, he said the only chance is to have promoters here work a deal with GNR management. He said he would love to, esp. 3rd week of December.

In today's interview with Tommy he confirms they are playing in India!

What interview?

Ahh right, nice. Sounds legit then

I'll still wait until I hear Team Brazil or Axl confirm it before I announce it as confirmed on A4D, but it really looks promising :D

they should confirm it already!... i have a feeling that maybe there are still some issues regarding the tour that needs to be sorted out. I think DNA is organizing this tour... and they better know that can't fuck this up like the Metallica gig last year. Among the rock n roll audience, GNR are what the people have been waiting for. Cmon!!
