bacardimayne Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I'll be honest, I haven't listened to a full performance of KOHD since Rio, so my memory of it is a little rusty. Where does he shred on it? Youtube link with timestamp plz.
RussTCB Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Why does Bumblefoot shred on KOHD?To make you mad.
bacardimayne Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 The only instance of Bumblefoot shredding that's truly offended me is when he played the 14 Years solo. God damn did that ever suck.
TeeJay410 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I don't quite get why he does. One of his best qualities is restraint on songs that don't necessarily call for million notes per second runs. I guess maybe Axl said he liked it? Or maybe he just thinks it sounds good?
John Bonham Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Bumblefoot wrote "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" -- he can play it however he wants
TeeJay410 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Bumblefoot wrote "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" -- he can play it however he wantsIsn't bumblefoot the drummer?
James Bond Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Bumblefoot wrote "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" -- he can play it however he wantsDid he really? I knew he was actually the ghost writer of all of The Beatles' music but I didn't know that one.

saber_ Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Why does Bumblefoot shred on KOHD?Why does Slash shred on KOHD at the Ritz? ...Whoops.
Iron MikeyJ Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Don't you guys ever get tired of saying the same shit everyday? If you don't like the new band that's fine, but why do you have to talk shit daily about them? I can understand every now and then, but seriously some of you say the same shit day after day. We get it!!!! Get some new material, shit!!!!

It's a bit much to expect them to remember things that they've said since then.
SONOFABITCH Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Even I will admit it is better than giving Axl some reggae.
Iron MikeyJ Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Even I will admit it is better than giving Axl some reggae. The funny thing about that is I would not consider that to be anything close to reggae.
Randy Lahey Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 It's so spontaneous on mygnr, we've never followed a set thread list.
Iron MikeyJ Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) I would say that is funny, but it's really not and I don't like to lie.But nice try nonetheless. Edited October 12, 2012 by Mike420
Nosaj Thing Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Because he has tourette syndrome. The guy even shred on SCOM.
themadcaplaughs Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 The only instance of Bumblefoot shredding that's truly offended me is when he played the 14 Years solo. God damn did that ever suck. About the only time in his tenure in the band that I felt Ron truly goofed.

Bumble's Bridge Pickup Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Because he can No but seriously because he honestly thinks it sounds good.
Randy Lahey Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 I was thinking that maybe he just starts shredding when he forgets how a part of a song is supposed to go.
One.In.A.Million Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Ron doesn't shred as much as he did in 2006, in fact nowhere near. Now he seems to follow the songs structure and play solos more or less note for note. But on the instances where he does do it, as long as its done in a tastefully way then I've got no problems with it. Rather hear that than an extremely bad solo which is trying to copy the original.
