Guys channel has quite a few videos.

Guys channel has quite a few videos.

This is why Richard should be the main songwriter of the next album..when it comes out..if it comes out...the guy is a monster and has the right Guns sound

Nahh, I don't really see him being too good at writing the electronica/industrial stuff.

Sounds fucken great.... I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I'm hoping he will reach his 2010 greatness this time around. He is in better form than all of 2011 and 2012 here.

Yes,one of the best versions of this song since 2010.But still some Mickey mouse moments.I want to see, estranged, civil war and you could be mine,

The entire band sounds pretty friggin good in the videos I've watched so far.In YCBM I could care less if Axl sings the song in the heavy rasp voice or whatever,I do however think if he would sing it in a bit lower it would sound that much better,in my humble opinion.Overall I think he sounds really good, and its a great start to the Vegas shows.

Guns N’ Roses Launch Las Vegas Residency With Epic Opening Night

GNR.jpg

Guns N’ Roses‘ much-hyped Las Vegas residency is now underway, and by all accounts, those in attendance walked away with a solid opening night experience.

The band took over The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Wednesday night for a 25-song set that spanned from their breakout debut disc, ‘Appetite for Democracy,’ through their polarizing last effort, ‘Chinese Democracy.’

The evening began with the title track from the ‘Chinese Democracy’ disc before immediately adding to the energy level with ‘Welcome to the Jungle.’ With guitarist DJ Ashba perched high on a stage prop and some scaffolding delivering the opening licks, and Axl Rose ready to belt at full force, the crowd whipped into a frenzy.

The set featured such favorite tracks as ‘It’s So Easy,’ ‘Mr. Brownstone,’ ‘Estranged,’ ‘You Could Be Mine,’ and ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine,’ peppered in with covers of ‘Live and Let Die,’ ‘Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2,’ ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,’ and ‘Don’t Let It Bring You Down.’ The latter track, a Neil Young cover, the group recently debuted at Young’s Bridge School Benefit.

After a quick break, the band returned for a three-song finale that included ‘Madagascar,’ ‘Patience,’ and ‘Paradise City.’ Fan filmed footage of three songs from last night’s show can be seen below. All dates for the residency can be seen here.

Haha if I hear correctly, I think some in the crowd threw in "with your ass in the air" during YCBM. Hilarious.

YCBM is an endurance test and although he gets a little bit yelpy, he's deliberate, prepared, and not struggling to get through the song. Good job Ax.

Okay, my son and I listened to Axl and GNR on youtube and he sounded fuckin awesome! The band the whole stage show is outstanding!

We can't wait for our show. two weeks from tonight we will be in Vegas and then November 17 is our show. Since GNR only have a Wednesday show before ours, I'm hoping that Axl and the rest of the band will be well rested and ready to rock! I also love all the new GNR merch!

I think this is going to be something my kids and I will cherish forever!

Orlando and Miami last year were maybe a notch above Philly, imo. He's almost there, I say. Considering we have video evidence of him performing a GOOD SCOM, things are bright.

I have to agree both shows I saw in Orlando were very good vocal wise
