we'll know if the show was a success when the reviews start coming out in 4 or 5 hours. Most of the 2012 tour got good reviews with the caveat that the shows were too long with too many new songs/covers. this set list seemed to correct that so we'll see what the press says...

Just got back to my room after the show and some final hands of blackjack before my flight in 5 hours lol.

SHOW WAS EPIC!!!!!!! Band were totally on point and Axl sounded great I thought (better than the whole Bridge School thing anyway). I've only seen them before in Sydney in 2010 and quality wise it was probably on par with that (can't really remember though). He didn't sound as raspy as he was in Sydney but he looked and sounded great. He didn't seem to hit that high note in KOHD like he did in Sydney - I remember the crowd going fuckn crazy back then. Stage was pretty sweet but a lot smaller than other ones - no complaints though as I felt really close to the band etc.

I cbf scrolling through all the pages to check but there weren't really and surprises from the usual setlist to fill you in on except for the Neil Young song they played at Bridge School (think its called Don't Let it Bring You Down??). Was pretty keen to hear My Michelle since it's the whole Appetite Anniversary thing but no complaints for me - setlist was perfect!

I took some pretty sweet photos but can't see how I can put them up off my phone so will upload them another time.

If you're tossing up whether to go to one of the shows or not DO IT!!! You won't regret it!

Glad you had a great time, even though I read so much negativity about Axl's voice, same songs all the time etc I have yet to read of anyone going to a show & not enjoying themselves. Look forward to seeing your photos when you get them on & have a safe flight.

If he's voice is anywhere near what it was in Sydney (2010) then I am optimistic to say the least, although without the rasp it wont be as good as 2010, however it sounds like he's improving which is GREAT news :)

This is the first show in a while where they did not play Sorry. I think a few of us were shocked not to see it right after Mr. Brownstone. Why do you think they did not play it? Because of the reputation it got as a "buzzkill" during past shows? Or maybe Axl just did not feel like it?

I suggested after Bridge School that Don't Let It Bring You Down would be a nice addition to the set. Glad to see them do it.

They also dropped it for the truncated show in St. Tropez at the end of the European tour, so I guess it was in the cards.

On a note, it is interesting to see him not playing this song after an interview in which he did not rule out a reunion.

Does he have to rule it out in every interview? He has already said it won't happen in this lifetime, no reason to assume he has changed his mind even if he didn't explicitly say it is the last two interviews.

My bad, I misread it the first time I read the article

I was expecting more surprises, but at least is good to see Civil war back again.I dont expect any change in Axls voice,is been nearly 2 years since he has lost it.I really hope they put some more old song during the next 11 shows, thats the only thing i really expect.
