Bumblefoot hints at something!

I've been wondering ever since the Kimmel show, why did BBF go on with him? Especially if he's so miserable. I would have expected Ashba. He's the one who promotes Axl and GNR whenever the opertunity presents itself. Seems BBF just like screwing with GNR fans. He's gotta know anything negative he does or says will be blown up in theses forums. He probably just sits back and laughs at it all

His backtracking after a comment blows up big and acting like everything's fine and then creating another situation by giving more cryptic comments on the internet or to fans doesnt seem like "honest" behaviour- it just seems like attention grabbing behaviour.

If he has complaints about management or Axl, their solutions can only be sorted out by talking to management and Axl. Storming off and then cribbing to a fan about a band situation- that's the kind of behaviour that few here would be approving of if Axl was the one doing it.

Going on The Metal Show and Jimmy Kimmel helps BBF get exposure to a larger audience so he takes those oppurtunities that help himself but he does the band a disservice by helping create cloud of negativity which feeds the rabid haters who distort everything into a major fiasco.

So according to you guys he should either STFU about the obvious bullshit or leave...

Slash, Buckethead and Finck all chose the second option in the end.

Guess it's only a matter of time before another lead guitarist jumps ship because fixing what's wrong with the band is too much of a pain in Axl's ass.

He is actually a very nice guy and can play guitar better than anyone in the band currently. However his ambitions with the band are probably not in cohesion with Axl's. I hate to say it, but he has cried wolf a few too many times now, even not taking this incident into regard(which is hearsay at the moment). Simply put, don't like it? Leave. You knew you were not going to be an equal partner when you signed up.

It's quite obvious that he doesn't like being in the band, that he's just there for the money. I don't blame him, he'll never make this much money anywhere else and why go back to his non-existing solo career when he's got this? It shows that he lacks any kind of artistic integrity though.

Sooooooooooo what's Bucket up to these days?

Releasing 8 albums a year.

Are any good?

No.

It's not like Ron really shares some actual insight on the band or the creative process, all he does is small talk and giving vague hints at being unhappy because of...what? Something related to the band obviously, but he just talks a lot without saying anything. As accessable and nice as he is to the fans, in substance it is not so much more than the dark age of the Buckethead era. If it was between drama Ron or freakshow Buckethead I'm going with the chicken man any day, at least you don't have to have perfect pitch and study music theory to enjoy Buckethead's music. Listening to Ron's stuff....I wouldn't even call that music anymore, it's more like mathematics, all architecture, no gardening whatsoever. The drama doesn't make a respectable musician and very likeable guy look any better, in fact it works to his and to the bands disadvantage.

No, he shouldnt shut up. He should talk to the band, Axl and management if he has problems with them. Its hard to believe that it was only after joining the band that he realized that Axl tends to go on late and started having a moral dilemma with that. How has BBF come to the conclusion that cribbing to fans and dropping cryptic hints online is the golden key to "fixing" GN'R?

Is BBF's commitment to the band's welfare greater than Tommy Stinson's? I see no reason to believe that. But somehow Tommy manages not to make periodic wisecracks and try to demonstrate his "integrity" by acting like he's a hero to the fans as if nobody else in the GN'R machine cares about fans or has any integrity.

BBF is afraid that the band would morph into some pop nonsense despite the rock credentials of the likes of Tommy Stinson and Axl Rose? Really?

Maybe I like the drama cuz ive given up hope that the band will ever do anything else interesting.. Such as release a new album or switch up their live shows. Shocking how my standards andd expectations have dropped since.... 9.9.99 when I first heard omg.

Band members don't have to get Rabia's approval before they do things. These are adults who are part of a band, and you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. So stop trying to act like you know what is best for the band, and stop trying to dictate to band members what they should do or not do.

Rabia, did that get you fired up? That is the kind of messages you post towards me, when I am merely expressing my opinion. Just like you are doing.

I actually agree with most of your last two posts. I think he knows exactly what is going to happen when he complains to fans. It is a passsive aggressive way to let Axl and team Brazil know he is frustrated.

Speaking out publically doesn't help the public's perception of the band. And it does give the non-Axl worshipers ammunition.

Keep that crap in-house. And if you don't like it, quit and find another band. This is Axl and Team Brazil's show......you can play by their rules....or not. He knew what he was getting into when he signed up.

With that said, I hope he doesn't quit and Axl and Team Brazil give this band a chance to progress as musicians and a chance to add their own mark on the GnR name. Let the musicians create music and not just continue to cover other people's songs.

Do I have the same freedom of expression that everybody else gets here to comment on band member's behaviour? Yes I do- I thought you were a "champion" of freedom of expression but of course that only applies when the message is agreeable to you. Nowhere did I say that BBF needs my approval- he need not know that I exist but the inconsistencies of his behaviour have been criticized by not just me but many here and will continue to be.

Many posters here have posted criticism about DJ's clothing, posing, guitar playing, interview giving etc - you have posted criticisms of him as well. Is this "dictation"?

Your diagnosis of my emotional state remain as always laughably faulty and as always entirely irrelevant to the topic of discussion. :)

I need not know what goes on within the band to know that BBF's public dramas dont do much good- ironically you only ended up agreeing with me there. If this was only Axl and Team Brazil's show then Tommy wouldnt help influence choice of opening bands and BBF wouldnt be instrumental in bringing Estranged and Dont Cry to the setlist. BBF ALREADY does more than cover other people's music considering the fact that he's on CD but hey, facts are inconveniences to be disregarded. :)

Too lazy to read 11 pages.. is there anything real in this thread ?

No. Bumblefoot got frustrated with something at rehearsal. A fan overheard him expressing his frustration. MSL mistakenly connected that to a comment BBF made on his FB account about surprises not getting approved for the first show and that they'll hopefully be at future shows. HV contacted BBF and BBF said the post-rehearsal comments and the FB comment were unrelated. So, no, really, nothing at all. Someone got frustrated at rehearsal. Probably not the first time it's happened with this or any other band, and probably not the last time either.

I just talked to Bumble on facebook. I can take a screenshot of that if you guys don't believe me, but i guess it's not necessary since i'm an old member here.

Christian:

WTF happened at rehearsels? people are saying a lot of bullshit @mygnrforum =\

Ron Thal:

Someone tried to throw pop production routines in a bunch of songs at the last minute & it wasn't working, was interfering with what we do, I refused to be part of it. The audience deserves *nothing less than our best*, not something thrown together last-minute that no one felt good about. It was removed, all good.

Christian:

great, do you want me to post or NOT post that @ mygnrforum?

Ron Thal:

Sure, you can post that. Add this...

Next I'm trying to find the best way so VIP ticket holders do the meet-n-greet before the show without losing their spot in front they get with early admission.... just trying to do what I can to make things better for y'all, even if I lose my shit doing it.
