SONOFABITCH Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Hi Marc,What song off of Chinese Democracy do you wish Slash was playing lead guitar? On the flip side, which song from VR or Slash solo albums do you wish Axl layed down the vocals?
hellobeatle Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 All songs either two have done since 1994 would suffice for me.
DieselDaisy Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 TWAT is about the only song on CD which I consider 'Slashy' and therefore old-school GN'R. Maybe Sorry as well (which is ironically about Slash) - that bluesy Zep riff - but Sorry isn't a great song like TWAT. It is hard to envision what Slash would do on the rest of the album. How would Slash fit in on a song like Shackler's Revenge? I cannot see it.
Guest RonMexico82 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Slash could have fit on a lot of songs, except maybe Shacklers, which is just as well because it is godawful.
recklessroad Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 TWAT and AnastasiaHard to say. The 2 you picked are the best ones and I know Axl would have done great things with Anastasia it has sort of a Locomotive fell to it. I know Slash would have done great things with TWAT but I also like the way it is right now. There are many songs that Slash put out over the last 17 years that Axl's touch would have put them over the edge. It not only vocals they would have different lyrics and melodies.
DownUnderScott Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 It's a no-brainer really. Just about any songs.Axl is such an amazing lyricist and song-writer, and Slash is the best at constructing amazing solos that absolutely fit perfectly of the individual song. Both of them elevate each other's work to another level entirely...
