As a guitar player I like DJ Ashba and Slash more than Finck. I like the fact they play a more "bluesy" style.

Having said that, Finck was important for the new band and nice to the fans.

In short: happy birthday Finck :)

if it was announced that Izzy

would show,I'd jump a Greyhound.

on topic, tonights surprise is probably Finck on stage.

wonder which song...

Probably "Better" if he does show up

I think most would want to hear Finck perform the solo during This I Love.

Only if he plays it like Ashba CoolFace.png

All the shit talking about DJ used to be about Robin back in the day...unbelievable. Sometimes I wonder why I come here at all....

True maybe, but the criticisms are usually different.

Having said that, wfse, if you're going to tell people get back on topic, then you're going to have to do the same. If you want a DJ vs Robin thread, then go start a separate one in Attitude; I mean, for once there's a thread about the guitarist you like in D&N and you still manage to bring DJ into it! Unreal man...

Sorry.

You might not be lying. finck6 probably also believes that Dj has infiltrated the band and single-handedly changed its direction despite Axl's and the other band members' interests, but he wouldn't be able to express such delusional conspiracy theories as coherently as you are.

You're the only one expressing such delusional conspiracy theories pal. Don't put words in my mouth. I never said Dj single-handedly did anything.

Since [Dj Ashba] joined this band [he has made] it a fucking joke. A nostalgia act, of non-stop touring and broken promises.

Of course it's Dj's fault the band has become a nostalgia act.

As the quotes above prove you clearly said he was to blame for what has happened with GN'R. Nowhere did you imply that others were to blame, too.

Now skulk off and learn the difference between correlation and causality.

Why would I talk about other members when our discussion was clearly about Dj? Just because I didn't specifically say others were to blame doesn't mean, I was saying it was ALL Dj's fault. It mostly is, it's just Axl's fault for being ok with it (which is kind of obvious and didn't really need to be stated anyways).

Happy bday Robin!

You think he'll get up there one more time to perform a song with Axl and the band? Personally I'd love to hear him play his This I Love solo in a live setting.

Robin, Brain, Izzy, and Duff are a part of the GNR family, but they're not in the band. Of course that can change later.

Not for nothing but the "GN'R Family" could be one hell of a band in its own right:

Izzy Stradlin (vocals, rhythm guitar)

Robin Finck (lead guitar)

Duff McKagan (bass guitar, vocals)

Brain (drums)

Damn... bet they'd blow the fucking doors off VR (and I actually like most of VR)...

Oh yeah- happy birthday Robin- and thank you so much for the "This I Love" solo! Easily my favorite guitar solo of all time...
