Vincent Vega Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 What are some movies that you invested a lot of hope and anticipation into, only to be incredibly disappointed and let down? For me, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a clear example of this. I'm REALLY worried that The Hobbit will end up being another example of a film I invested a lot of hope in only to have it not meet my expectations. Quote
bacardimayne Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The Godfather Part II. Don't get me wrong, it was still great, but not the 10/10 equal/better than the original it's hyped up to be. Quote
Georgy Zhukov Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The best thing about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is that it is going to make the next one better. Quote
izzygirl Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The Matrix Sequels.This.To be honest I've seen a lot of disappointed films but I specially remember when I watched Hollow Man with 3 firends. No one would expect it to be a great film but all of us left the theater saying it was a shit at the same time. It was a funny moment!Btw, we missed you Miser. Glad you're back! Quote
DizzyReedsexmachine Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The dark knight rises i was really dissapointed ,Bane sucks Quote
James Bond Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The Matrix Sequels.Agreed. Even though Reloaded is a fun movie, it's an underwhelming follow-up to the first one. I saw it in theaters when I was eleven so I enjoyed the action and still think the highway chase is amazing, but in retrospect it lacks the more compelling narrative of the first. Revolutions starts off very strong but I totally lost interest by the time the the battle with the machines started. Impressive effects, but it became overly long and really dragged the movie down. Also, as a Bond fan, Quantum of Solace was a major letdown after the excellent Casino Royale. Quote
classicrawker Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 (edited) Dune........I am a big fan of the original Dune trilogy books and was really looking forward to it when it came out but they totally butchered it.......... Edited November 24, 2012 by classicrawker Quote
ManetsBR Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 The Dark Night Rises.Specially because the week before, I read some critics on the internet and all said that it was better than the Dark Night. Blasphemy! Quote

ThomasMeadow Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Inglourious Basterds .This, too.I liked the parts with the Nazi Col and the Brad Pitt parts. But the Jewish girl kinda ruined the rest. Quote
supersillyspacemonkey Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Dark Knight Rises was absoloute garbage.Bane sucked, everybody was completely out of character and that's not Robin, what the fuck were they thinking?Don't even give me that stupid "Well Nolan was trying to make his own realistic version of the universe" Shut the fuck up!That doesn't excuse this piece of shit! If you did like it, odds are you know nothing of batman anyway and have no valid opinion. That and the Dragonball movie. I dont even have to say anything about that, it would just never end. Quote
Tater Totts Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Dragonball Movie was shite but didn't really go into it expecting anything other then it being terrible.Death Proof was garbage, I was looking forward to both Grindhouse films and thought Planet Terror was far, far superior! Quote
