Don't you ever just wish that The Allman Brothers band had merged with Skynyrd and formed the Wu Tang Clan of Southern Rock? And then the singer from the Marshall Tucker Band could have been a guest collaborator and all around homie like Redman was to the Clan. I'll tell you man, if you ever find yourself on a long drive though the country while on psychedelic drugs, put on some fucking Allman Brothers Band and things will be alright.

The current lineups of Skynyrd and ABB are more southern rock supergroups than bands. They did tour together a few years back, but had a rivalry going back in the day, something about Gregg's girlfriend hooking up with Ronnie Van Zant and some other incident I can't remember off the top of my head.

Derek & Warren are why people go see the Allmans, Skynyrd's still putting new music out even with the loss of two key members.

I am a big Allman Bros. fan, saw them this summer, belong to a Allman Bros. forum and have to disagree with you on why people go to see them..Gregg is still the focal point of that band..If there was no Gregg there would be no Allman Bros..........
