It's so nasal and no one and I mean no one can sing GNR songs except Mr. Axl Rose.I can't stand Myles voice on GnR songs, it doesn't fit.He sounds great with Alter Bridge though and with his work with Slash.I'd much rather have had Axl singing with the band that night.Unfortunately........feuds and pride are more important to him than giving the fans a treat. Birk Posted February 10, 2014 Share Posted February 10, 2014 i went to the RNRHOF induction ceremony by myself, i had my doubts abou thow i would feel about it. The night before the HOF i seen Duff do a book thing at the House of Blues, and he told some fuckin awesome stories, and played "So Fine" which was fuckin classic for me...The next morning i snuck into the Drake hotel and made it to the 11th floor where all the musicians were eating breakfast, i sat quietly in a room by myself near the elevators drinking coffee with a Chicago Cubs jacket on and trying to not look like a crazed fan. As im watching who is walking a old couple walks in and a hot chick comes in and starts talking to them, i couldnt believe it but she starts talking about GNR about to head to practice for their set tonight, i was shocked..turns out she was Gilbys Wife and that was her parents. I seen Adler speed walking by twirling his drumsticks, with a huge smile, do i risk getting caught going up to adler, HELL NO, until i see Sorum and i make my move. I catch matt he signs my cubs jacket, and who do i grab to take a picture of me by the elevators, but Gilbys wifes mom,. she was very old lolhere is the pictureafter that happened, i was asked who i was and what was my room #, and once i couldnt provide information i was thrown out of the hotel..which i didnt care at that point..anyways, after watching them perform the HOF, i had a whole new respect for that band. Estranged Reality Posted February 13, 2014 Share Posted February 13, 2014 Sad Axl couldn't have put his personal differences aside for ONE night and given the fans a treat.Axl is enjoying being able to tour the world with his band playing the hits.Showing up would have opened a can of worms that may have compromised his band. I'm not saying he made the right decision for the fans, but he certainly made the wise decision as related to his own personal/financial well-being. By refusing to show up he kept a safe distance from the ex-members (especially Slash). If he had played with Slash he wouldn't have just had fans welcoming the realistic idea of a reunion, he would have had a lot of Azoffs out there coming after him with offers.It's sad but it's the truth. It's so nasal and no one and I mean no one can sing GNR songs except Mr. Axl Rose.I can't stand Myles voice on GnR songs, it doesn't fit.He sounds great with Alter Bridge though and with his work with Slash.I'd much rather have had Axl singing with the band that night.Unfortunately........feuds and pride are more important to him than giving the fans a treat.Like i said before, of course his own private life is more important to him than to please people like you.People like me?You mean people that have financially supported Axl since 1988? People that have bought multiple copies of every album he has put out, including numerous copies of CD that I gave to friends as gifts? People that have purchased more GnR t-shirts and posters than I can remember? People that have spent around 10-grand to watch GnR concerts over the years? People that have said that CD is the best rock album of the last decade? People that desperately wish their favorite rock singer would have released more than one album over the last 15 years? People that have said they don't care who Axl plays with - old band, current band, new band - they just wish they could hear new music from their favorite singer? Axl created Guns n' Roses, the afd line up turned the band into the biggest band in the world, they all fucked up at one point or another and most of them decided to quit, axl stayed and went trough a lot of shit but never gave up on guns n roses, he came back and he fought and fought and fought till he was able to complete his masterpiece.
