Randy Lahey Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Anybody else wish Zeppelin would reform and tour just to destroy The Stones and U2's touring records? Quote
Dan H. Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Why would I wish for them to reform just to destroy two other bands touring records? Quote
Crash Diet Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Why would I wish for them to reform just to destroy two other bands touring records?thisi wish they reform only if Plant sing good. Otherwise, thanks, but no thanks Edited December 1, 2012 by Crash Diet Quote
ShadowOfTheWave Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 No, because I like the Stones & U2 a lot more. Quote
ZoSoRose Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 its my dream to see zeppelin. although id love to see the stones and have seen u2. nothing tops zep Quote
Randy Lahey Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Watching the Stones and U2 duke it out for the touring record just makes me sad. Neither band was ever truly the undisputed biggest band in the world like Zeppelin were. Both just managed to stick around forever. It kind of reminds me of when Hank Aaron had the Home Run record after playing forever. Edited December 1, 2012 by Randy Lahey Quote
ShadowOfTheWave Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 The Stones had the Beatles to compete with, Zeppelin didn't. Quote

Zint Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Weird reason to want Zep to reform I'd prefer they do it for the love of the jam and to appease the insane plea of the fanbase. Quote
bacardimayne Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 The Stones live show today embarrasses the Zeppelin reunion show from a few years ago. Quote
Johnny Drama Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 The Stones live show today embarrasses the Zeppelin reunion show from a few years ago.Why do you say that? (although personally speaking, I believe Jason Bonham was the real star of that show) Quote

dalsh327 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I think the Plant/Page tour satisfied a lot of people in the 90s, I guess calling it Led Zeppelin makes a big difference in what people will shell out. Quote
luciusfunk Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Absolutely not. That's a ridiculous reason to reform. Quote
Nosaj Thing Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Plant current voice >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>....>>> Dog shit > Rose current voice.__Yes, I would love it if they toured. Edited December 1, 2012 by pi2loc Quote
moreblack Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Weird reason to want Zep to reform I'd prefer they do it for the love of the jam and to appease the insane plea of the fanbase.This.But I fear old man Percy can't sustain that type of singing for a whole tour anymore.Walking into Clarksdale tour was probably his last hurrah with singing Zep material. DieselDaisy Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Zep are not even in the same league as the Rolling Stones. Quote
WhazUp Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 The Stones live show today embarrasses the Zeppelin reunion show from a few years ago.I totally disagree, IMO the Zep show beats the recent Stones in every conceivable way. Quote
Zeppelin Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Zep are not even in the same league as the Rolling Stones. This is true. Zeppelin are in a much better league. The Stones have almost 30 years more on Zep and still don't have the greatness that Zep had/has. Quote

Btw Page and JPJ did a very good job (jason is good too)if this sounded pretty bad to you, maybe you're delusional or a musical snobIsn't Robin Plants dead? His name is Robert Plant you mental sickfuck and he isn't dead Quote

The Stones videos were pleasant to listen to while the Zeppelin videos sounded like a croaking old man. I know which one I'd rather pay upwards of $300 to see. Quote
