Good thread Miser!

To be honest I can't choose just one of that list... they are all so good! I think my favourite from the 30s-50s is Bogart, then Stewart, Gable and Grant. The other day I was rewatching The rear window and James was so fuckin' great. Most actors nowadays are shit compared with the old ones.

From the 50s I would say my favourite ones are Newman, Brando and Peck. Brando was a genius, probably the best ever.

My respect levels for you (which were already high) just shot through the fuckin' roof. Excuse my ignorance cuz i'm not like, well versed in my understanding of other cultures and that but where would a girl in her early 20s from Spain happen upon like, Humphrey Bogart and Jimmy Stewart and that, how did you like...happen upon their movies? Are the old classic hollywood stars like, well known in Spain? :)

Well, most people my age prefer Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar, Twilight, Brad Pitt, Megan Fox... you know, that kind of movies; but yes, the old classic Hollywood stars are well known over here provided that you're interested and you like the good things. :)

Edit: Lawrence Olivier should be in that list too, yes.

I wish modern actors would have the same class as the classics. But it seems everyone wants to be Marlon Brando and James Dean. Nice to find someone who appreciates the good stuff.
