not bad so far i could care less about avenged sevenfold though they suck IMO. never really listened to muse but they are quite popular and bruce even though i dont like alot of his music puts on a fantastic show, looks like a really good lineup so far.

So far not happy with the confirmed artists. Since they ruined Metallica day with Slayer, the only headliner I'm thinking of seeing is Maiden.... but I have to stand a freakin' Avenged Sevenfold concert to see Maiden... that sucks.

HATING this line-up. Wanted to see Maiden but I'm sure as hell not gonna stand through Slayer and Avenged Sevenfold to see them. Especially 'cause they tend to come here every year or so. Not worth it. They should have put Slayer with Metallica and Sepultura. Only hope left is September 21st. If I were Medina, I'd try to get my hands on either Rush, Van Halen, AC/DC or Black Sabbath.

Don't miss Maiden because of the rest of the bill that day, you'll regret it big time. This is absolutely hands down my favorite tour they've ever done.

Bon Jovi is headling, Nickelback is just an opening act. And Bon Jovi is big enough to headline any festival, camon.

This year I'll go with some friends and stay there for the week. The plan is to go to the festival at least 2 or 3 days. I wanted to see John Mayer, but I think I'll go on the next weekend. Bon Jovi on friday, whatever there is on saturday (it's a Rock Day, so I hope there's something cool) and Iron Maiden on sunday. It will be an awesome weekend. Can't wait, been saving money every month for it.

A respected journalist from Brazil tweeted that:

"Van Halen was about to be announced but they cancelled!!!! Looks like a MONSTER got in the way!!!!"

Rumors are that MONSTER could be a reference to a bigger band or the return of the Monsters Of Rock Festival.

I think it's a bigger band, because no festival in the world has the balls to steal an artist from Rock in Rio.

Might the MONSTER be a band that headlines RIR routinely and is now sponsored by an enery drink of the same name? I hope not, 'cause it'd just be another chance to underwhelm, but....
