50,000 people singing This I Love and telling Axl to fuck himself

Manets, was Chinese Democracy a huge hit album in Brazil? Were multiple songs from the album given heavy radio rotation there?

Well, I don't have numbers, but it went Platinum and it's a very known album among rock fans. I've been to dozens of rock concerts on the last years, and Chinese Democracy nuGNR are commons subjects on the cirles...

As for the GNR fandom here... The vast majority of the fans are around my age - I'm 18 - thus Chinese Democracy has many fans, as you can see in that video.

I heard Better twice on the radio, but here goes an interesting fact: the most watched TV show in Brazil is Big Brother Brasil (fuck us, right?), and on the 2009 edition, Better and If The World were on the soundtrack, being played multiple times on television to millions of viewers during the year.

Another thing I like about Axl on that video is his visual. Jeans, t-shirt and bandana. Keeping it simple.

Great song, performance & crowd.

TIL had so much potential as a single to take off CD judging from people's reaction both on live gigs and on youtube ratings, that it's really hard to me to figure out why Axl chose a more complex and less catchy song like Street of Dreams instead as a power ballad single...

Well, I do think Street Of Dreams is a catchy song, it has what it takes to be a hit, if promoted properly.

If you think those songs have no chance as hits, take a look at Adele. The only reason she's a hit, it's because she was played over and over, her music has nothing to do with what had been hits nowadays.

I like SOD too, but I say that for the casual GnR fan (and I've shown plenty...) it doesn't really ring a 'really good' bell. On the other hand, almost everyone loved (including myself) TIL at the first time they've heard it. Also unbelievable positive ratings and comments on youtube videos and live shows in comparison to other CD songs, can't be just a coincidence can it?

2010 was a good year.

Totally agree.

I really miss his 2010 voice... I mean, look at what we have now:

On the other hand the band was tight as always, They really did a great job on the acoustic version of WTTJ.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure that he will be able to get that 2010 voice back or, why not? An even better voice.
