makkonen
Billy McCloud....Any information about him? I asked same question 2004 and nobody knew nothing. He co-wrote Yesterdays, that´s about all i know about him.My wild guess is that he was a friend of West Arkeen and/or Axl.Then the 1st line-up drummer, mr. Gardner...do you know what he has been doing after GN´R (and L.A. Guns)?Last but not least...ANY idea who is that female voice on "Just another Sunday"-demo....man, it took 15 years to break that fucking Spaghetti incident (zodiac)-code...how about this then Maybe Axl is the only one (+ that chick ofcourse) who knows this for sure, but your guess is helluva lot better than anyone else´s. Vincent Vega
That voice on Just Another Sunday always sounded like Michael Jackson as a child, like during the early 70s Jackson Five years.
makkonen
That voice on Just Another Sunday always sounded like Michael Jackson as a child, like during the early 70s Jackson Five years. It really does. Just listened the song just to make sure if it could somehow be guy, not gal. Sounds bit Jacko-ish.
Vincent Vega
I remember asking Marc about Just Another Sunday, Bring it Back Home and Crash Diet. I think he said they were all pre-GN'R songs.Probably Axl, West Arkeen, and a couple of others. Edited December 16, 2012 by Vincent Vega
makkonen
Yeah, would love to read more about all these demos, but Sunday-chick has been a pain in the ass for me since ~89 or so, when i bought that bootleg cd i go mental if i die without that knowledge.I remember reading an interview with finnish band, Havana Black(s)...they moved to L.A. at later half of 80´s and had same manager as GN´R (Alan Niven). They told that Axl drove them nuts, trying to sell these songs that they wouldn´t record themselves. I guess some West Arkeen-stuff etc. Axl called and called and they saw red If there is any truth at all at that story, i guess some of those "unwanted illusions" might be just those songs. That explains Asphalt Ballet´s Crash Diet-version....partly, Danny Clarke co-wrote it, so not a good example. But yeah, my theory anyway.Little funny fact(?) from Havana Black: " The band had jam sessions with a number of well known people from bands in the Los Angeles area, among others, Guns N' Roses. At some point Jussi Tegelman was helping GN'R out on drums, after Steven Adler was forced to leave the band. One can find the name Jussi Tegelman on the thanks list of the "Use Your Illusion I & II" albums". Edited December 16, 2012 by makkonen
