After Guns N Roses....

And to think some people really believe Axl wrote the majority of the Gn'R music... :rofl-lol:

Duff Mckagan, 2004:

"Axl made it an Axl thing, but it really wasn't," McKagan said. "He never wrote any of the music. That was part of the reason it broke up, because we'd play shows and he'd say, 'Here's a song I wrote about . . .' and it would be a song he had nothing to do with."

Read again.

Read it. Meant the same for me. It never was an Axl thing, sorry. ;)

So beside the few axl songs (One in a million,November Rain,Estranged,Shotgun Blues,Breakdown,Dead horse) he only wrote the lyrics?

In wikipedia he's the last person mentioned in all credits besides these songs. The only thing I remember from slash's book is something about how axl know what to do with izzy's simple ideas. Marc said something similar too about how axl know what to do with everything on the table. What does that mean?

Why did he get more songwriting credits than the others?

Wiki, the most reliable source of info.

If you want to dissect it to who we know of that lineup contributed musically, by credit, to the writing of those songs.

Izzy - 23

Slash - 19

Duff - 9

Axl - 7

Notice the trend? Izzy leaves, the band took a hit. Slash left and the band went splat. If Axl was as much of a musical contributor as either of ya claim, he should have been able to carry on just fine. Instead, it took the "mastermind" 17 years since the band's last original material release to come up with CD. An album that majority of the public would say is much weaker than original GNR. Shitload or majority, whichever you want to call it is plain bullshit. Like others have said to you many times before. Izzy and Slash were the pedestal that Axl could stand on to become the rock star. Duff and Steven, and later sometimes Matt, were the foundation that the pedestal rested on.

But go ahead lolcano, tell us how "Axl is GNR."

It's why he never went solo. It's why he's never ventured outside of GNR.
