Powerage5
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones do an annual residency in Boston every year the week between Christmas and New Year's, called the Hometown Throwdown. They use these shows to play some classics, and many songs that they don't regularly play, with radically different setlists each night. I managed to see one (Should've been two if the weather didn't shit out) of the shows this year, and it was pretty amazing.I debated putting this in My World or Attitude, because as much as it is a comment on how cool it is that the band does this for their fans, it's equally a comment on how Appetite For Democracy could've (should've) been so much more. Now, I'm sure the gigs were a blast (Hell, if I was at any of them I'm sure it would've been one of my favorite GN'R gigs to date), but they really could have used a lot more variance in the setlists.Night #1Suncooked Intro: Riot on Broad Street1. I think I've got everything correct though.By these stats, Night #3 this year had the most exclusives with 16. Last year only had 13 exclusive songs in one night. There were 19 songs that were not played last year that were in this year's shows. Opposite of that, there were 17 songs that were played last year that were not put in the setlist's this year.A little history on the Bosstones' live shows; they really only do a handful of shows each year. They've all had jobs outside of the band since their reunion in 2007, and as a result can really only manage to do a 1-2 week tour each Summer, the Hometown Throwdown, and maybe a couple one-off gigs. Even on their Summer tours they manage to mix things up pretty well, they've been known to just up and play full albums on any given night if they feel like it, even songs they've never done live before. Pretty amazing that a band that plays together so little can manage to play such spectacularly different setlists.
Dariablue
It definitely would have been nice if they would have switched things up a bit and brought out some rarely played songs, but it was still an awesome concert. I get what you're saying though, it could have (and probably should have) been so much more.

Powerage5
enjoyed Lets Face It.never really heard anything from them since.Let's Face It is definitely their best album. They've got some other decent ones, but they've never been a great studio band. They're always top notch live though!
Subtle Signs
I have zero interest in the Bosstones but that is awesome. It seems they are like Pearl Jam who also switch up the set list nightly. There is no reason GnR couldn't have still played their biggest hits and switched up the setlist more.
