BBA
I've always been a fan of Mad Season featuring Layne Staley. In April, they are re-releasing a deluxe edition of their only LP, 'Above'. It's going to feature the original album with a cover of "I Don't Want to be a Soldier' and a few unreleased songs from the 2nd album that was later aborted featuring Mark Lanegan on vocals. The second disc will be their 'Live At the Moore' performance. There will also be a remastered dvd from 'Live at the Moore'.Just curious if there are any other Mad Season fans here and if anyone else is looking forward to this release.http://www.amazon.com/Above-Deluxe-Edition-Mad-Season/dp/B00AQO1VYY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358232943&sr=8-1&keywords=mad+season+deluxe
Randy Lahey
I'm a Mike McCready and Layne Staley fan; I've never really listened to Mad Season though. Temple of the Dog is the grunge supergroup that I remember listening to.

Chinaski
I didn't realise they had leftover tracks from those sessions. That's good news.Always loved this performance. Two of my favourite vocalists. Edited January 15, 2013 by Chinaski
Amir
Bought a copy of Above from a CD sale a couple of years back when I really got into Alice in Chains. Pretty cool album. Will listen to this when it comes on Spotify.

headshrinker
One of my favourite albums ever, such an incredible singer. I'm not too interested in this release though, was hoping for a few new Layne songs, everything with the exception of the second album demos with Lanegan has been circulating on the net for years. chevelle
I'm not a huge fan of the album, but the unreleased Lanegan tracks just piqued my interest. He'd be perfect for them.
