Vincent Vega
Do you think Axl's ability, creativity and talent as a pianist is underrated? Simple question.
Jakey Styley
Everything he's done on the piano has been great but he hasn't done enough on it to be really talked about. I think it's more of a song-writing tool for him.
Vincent Vega
I'd love to see a solo album with Axl and piano centered or based compositions, with only minimal accompaniment. Not necessarily meaning an album of ballads only; Think something similar to Elton John's early efforts. The piano solo in Estranged is one of GN'R's most purely beautiful moments. Flayer
Thing is, you'd want to see a couple more GNR albums before getting a solo album of Axl doing piano ballads/country/rap/experimental techno.

Rovim
I enjoy his piano playing. Dizzy is a cool piano player too imo. I'm not sure what's the public opinion, but John Lennon had a very simple approach too and I wouldn't change it, cause it was just what his music needed, which is kind of the point anyway.I guess Axl is not technically a great piano player, but it just sounds good, and with a lot of feel. dizzykeys
axl is an amazing pianist for the style he chooses to play. his style is unique. its not a classical note reading machine method of playing. its emotion, feeling and improv. which personally, I feel is amazing.
