Vincent Vega
I actually think with exception to the obvious hits (Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, Lithium, In Bloom), Nevermind is the weakest of Nirvana's three full albums...And I feel if they'd released an album of material like Do Re Mi and You Know You're Right in say late 94 or 95, it would've been their best album and possibly one of the best of the '90s. ITG
I think you should recuse yourself from commenting on Nirvana or Kurt Cobain.
bran
it is very weak.
wasted
I like Incesticide but it's just a collection of b-sides or rarities with one or two new songs.
MEXzilla
I find it better than their first album. It's more consistent and has more catchier songs.
luciusfunk
I've always preferred In Utero.
dalsh327
If Nirvana hadn't made the album the way they did, they would've faded into obscurity. They prob. could've made a more raw version of it. As a whole, it's a great album if you were able to avoid listening to it over and over. wasted
The problem with Nevermind and In Utero is that they are shaped by the rock format. Its just band doing their job. Whereas Incesticide is a better reflection of the band. Bleach too. Even With the Lights Out is more revealing.

It didn't come across like they were trying to cash in on Nevermind, or just keeping up with demand for "new" Nirvana music. I don't know why Hormoaning didn't get released as a bonus disc to Insecticide because that was a pretty good one.
TeeJay410
I prefer it to In Bleach, but I always thought In Utero was much better.
chevelle
I agree with you about an album with stuff like You Know You're Right and Do Re Mi, it was kind of like a fuse between the grittiness of In Utero and the pop sensibilities of Nevermind. It would've been huge.

At one point it was called Sheep. Kurt had a personally disliking for corporate rock. Nevermind was was like him saying fuck it.
