Vincent Vega
Of the GN'R drummers since 1990, who would you say is the best?
RJ88
Freese. It's too bad things never really came to fruition when he was working with Axl
Tyler Drama
I know a lot of people are gonna disagree, but I gotta go with Frank. He rides the crash symbol the way I like it
James Bond
In terms of technique it's hard to rival Josh and even Brain. Both have a great mix of chops and feel. My favorite is Frank though, with Matt behind him (although I hated Matt's drum sound back in the day). Frank is a solid rock drummer with a great feel that I like. I know a lot of people hate his Brownstone intro but past that I like a lot of the little changes he makes in the songs to keep it his own and fresh while not straying too far from the original sound,
AndreCC
Definitely Matt Sorum!
CharlieSheen
Josh Freese > Brain > Frank Ferrer > Matt SorumI really would love to have heard what Josh brought to GN'R in his 2 years as drummer Edited March 1, 2013 by CharlieSheen
Guest NGOG
Josh Freese. Then Brain who made a decent attempt at trying to replicate what Axl had in mind with Freese.

patmac54
I've seen Matt at a VR concert, he was great. I've seen Frank three times, he's awesome, a lot of fun and the last show I saw in Hartford, CT has to be my favorite! But, seeing Brain play You Could Be Mine at Hammerstein ballroom, NYC gets him my vote! Nasty!

Crash Diet
Of the GN'R drummers since 1990, who would you say is the best?I would say Matt, but he is kinda like a robot or something...btw anybody who vote for Freese is an idiot...he isn't play a single show with the band and his drum parts on CD are meh... AXL_N_DIZZY
Best? Josh Freese hands down. The man is incredible.Favorite? Tie between Frank and Matt for me. Most people seems to love the "feel"/groove of Brain (and Adler for that matter) and I get that- but to me the Guns songs take on a lot more energy and "epicness" (particualrly live) with a big physical drummer thundering away on the kit... TheDemocracyRose
I really love the drum sound on the Illusions. But then again, check out Ferrer on Estranged from London 2012...
Flayer
None of them are bad drummers. Freese and Brain are way above and beyond in terms of technical ability, but in terms of feel you could justify liking any of them the best. Brain is my personal favorite. AlterL
Brian, then Frank, then Matt and then Josh (Josh only comes last becouse he didn't make it to any shows, but I never really liked his style of playing, Adler on the other hand would probably end up ahead of Sorum, thats for sure
