Rovim
Yeah, I think they should. It's always a treat, as There Was A Time is a favorite from the album by many fans here it seems.
CharlieSheen
I'd definitely like to see GN'R play There Was A Time more, but only if Axl got his voice back in proper shape
Cosmo
Yes. TWAT is worth it even if Axl sings it like the last time. It should be played no matter what.
LuanVictor
Yes, it's an amazing song, pretty hard for Axl too. Anyway, they should play it.Sad that they didn't play it on the Appetite For Democracy DVD/Blu-ray concert.
Jakey Styley
I don't think they've ever really ruined it.
bacardimayne
Yes, the one in Vegas was arguably the best overall performance of it they've ever done.
jimb0
To me it's weird comparing the 2006 and 2012 live performances. Because even though on the record Axl barely uses any rasp for the first half of the song, the latest live version sounds more Mickey Mouse. In 2006 his resonance sounded a bit lower, while in 2012 it sounded higher, aka Mickey. I don't know whether it's because he's doing the rest of the set in this fashion, or whether he's out of breath... but I just enjoy his vocal tonality from 2006 a lot more, even when the parts are essentially rasp-less. Bruno P.
Yes. Axl can't sing it, but the band can play it. A few DJ fuck ups here and there but Ron always delivers.Anyway, people, don't kid yourselves. Axl tried to sing it properly in '06, 09', 10' and 12' and fucked up all of the performances. He's not going to sing it properly live all of sudden, he couldn't even in 06' or 10'. He should learn how to breath properly. I mean, I will never understand why Ron, a man that doesn't make his living off of singing can breath properly through the verses but Axl can't after several years singing the song. Now compare to this... Axl's voice is weak, he's out of breath and sounds out of tune here and there. That's pretty bad, Axl. machinegunner
Why the hell not, yeah just play it.
Chloe
Yeah they should play it. I would rather hear Locomotive or Coma though. They need more variety in their setlists. I'm at the point where I don't really care what songs they play...just play a different fucking setlist.
