Philly Guns
Oh boy, be careful you guys might be called cupcakes or not real fans for talking about "real" issues with his voice.
trqster
If Axl can't sing consistently with rasp (& power...) over a single show that he knows it's being recorded for a DVD release, then he simply cannot do it anymore...

So none of this makes any sense.

wasted
It reminds me of Dylan in the 90s when he discovered some weird jazz arrangement and applied it to all his hits. Axl might enjoy Mickey. It makes semse to go Disney on Bucket songs.
Allen8R
I believe that Axl for some reason (like in the '01 & '02 eras) simply lost the ability to sing with rasp consistently without straining his voice. He had to adapt to a new singing style. But then again when in '12 he's singing with rasp like this he doesn't seem exactly in pain does he? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUCrHW5PfuYYou're Crazy is incredibly well done there, thanks for posting that.As for the original topic, no there is no chance that Axl is trying to sound younger by singing the way he had been a lot in 2012. He is singing in Falsetto (or as most forum members call it, the Mickey Mouse voice) because it's hard on him to sing in a high tone with lots of rasp. Understandible, considering the length of shows and how long he's been touring for. A8R
Caught in a Coma
If he is, it isn't working. He still sounds his age. It's the lack of power and breathing issues that make him sound older, not the rasp or clean voice.
