auad
The Brazilian cinematographer Pedro Guimarães, reference name in Hollywood for operation of cameras whose price equals the GDP of Ghana, was generous enough to share a few moments of his recent work: the record of the first 'concert movie' GUNS N 'ROSES filmed during the band's residency in Las Vegas last year and should reach to the big screen - in 3D - this year. Guimarães has a beautiful curriculum in the area of operation of equipment and 3D Steadicam, and lived up to his reputation at the helm of that gigantic set out in Vegas mounted to record the show for W. Axl Rose ET AL. On his website, Peter reveres the experience of working with the entourage of Rose: "What a fabulous opportunity to work with a fantastic team and they operate unforgettable experience on stage with my childhood idols ..." The launch of the final product has no exact date. The once certain release of Guns N 'Roses, recorded in London in June last year, just not displayed by endo U.S. subsidiary of VH1 as promised [due to contractual issues, says the channel] and his only view broadcast on the planet continues being held in Japan a few weeks ago. Check out more photos of the 'making of' GN'R 3D below. http://whiplash.net/materias/news_829/175281-gunsnroses.html

trqster
Nice article and photos! Congrats to Pedro. It must have been a true mix of business and pleasure to do that job - hopefully it'll be broadcast in other places too.

T.wa.T
If anything, it would bring more attention to the shirt and what its hiding. Time to move on, the duct tape isn't even funny if is meant to be.

hudsonsaul
That picture sums up DJ for me entirely. Such a tool.Burning his Les Paul for that ragged, used, damaged look, yet at the same time, he has delicately placed the guitar on a nice clean white towel as he does it o_OBuy old guitars and use them, if you want that vintage look.He looks like he smokes, only for hte image...which to be fair heaps of ppl do....even Slash. Naupis
He looks like he smokes, only for hte image...which to be fair heaps of ppl do....even Slash.Slash stopped smoking after his mother died of cancer a few years ago.Something also tells me you would never see him burning his guitar with cigarettes. He gets that old fashion wear look by tirelessly playing it.
jimb0
Is that pic of the shirt a joke? Axl has Slash fucking tattooed on his god damn arm LOL. Slash is always with Axl whether he likes it or not. Maybe he should appear on tattoo nightmares if he's that concerned about how an alcoholic heroin addict that fucking pissed himself every night secretly plotted his mental breakdown. Maybe they could put a likeness of DJ over Slash. Yeah that's another thing, if Axl's so butt hurt about evil Slash why's he let DJ prance about as he does. He looks like a f'n prosi. Coma16
I made it backstage in Hamilton 2101 2011 with that shirt. I was talking with Beta for quite some time and not once was I instructed to take the shirt off, turn it inside out, cover up Slash etc...I do think it is in poor taste though and someone from the crew should have told him to take the tape off as it disrespects the band's roots.
