Perfect Crime

You Could Be Mine

Dust N' Bones

14 years ( Without the whole Elton Rose piano thing going on and with that great Slash solo at the end)

Civil War

Estranged (without that freaking dolphins video)

Don't Cry

November Rain ( I actually like the wedding video, so kudos to that)

Coma

Double Talkin' Jive (with more lyrics to it and more time to it)

Back Off Bitch

Dead Horse

Right Next Door to Hell

Pretty Tied Up

That would be my Illusions album! Opener, either Right Next Door to Hell or Perfect Crime!

hmm i like it! to be honest i think double talkin jive should have been like a 6 minute instrumental.. felt the lyrics were unneccesary and it was way to short! the live version is so much better

The live version is more driven because Axl added more lyrics even though they were swear words (which to me are always welcome". I just feel he should have put more lyrics to it... and he should have sang Izzy's parts as well!

"Elton Rose" was what Alan Niven described as the piano parts vibe that Axl had going in. He basically would piano on everything... and since he was a big fan of Elton... Alan used the expression "Elton Rose"... i liked the expression so i have used it. What i meant was having 14 years without the piano parts in it and the guitars at the volume it should be!

No it wouldn't... if you have a listen to the buried guitar parts you will realize that!

Fuck Niven he's just a bitter tool. You shouldn't take everything he says so seriously.

I made it 15, because after some adjustments they all fit on one 80 minute disc. YCBM, NR, Back Off Bitch and Don't Cry (demo) are on my Appetite CD. The covers went to Spaghetti. The others went to Lies.

Those 12 wouldn't fit on a CD, much less two other songs. But, to continue:

Dust N Bones

Civil War

Get in the Ring

Pretty Tied Up

Dont Cry

The Garden

Garden of Eden

I posted in the main section, but here's the repost anyway:

I've never understood or liked the scenario of taking 30 songs and making one 14 song album. Too much good material get scrapped.

I always envisioned a Use Your Illusion I being releases in early 91 with the following track listing:

Right Next Door To Hell

Double Talkin Jive

Pretty Tied Up

Perfect Crime

YCBM

Civil War

Don't Damn Me

Yesterdays

Don't Cry (Original)

KOHD

Loco

Coma

This way you make a more logical transition from AFD, putting most of the AFD ear material on this disc, keeping the hard rocking, aggressive edge. Starts with quick hard bursts and ends with the heavy epic combo of Locomotive and Coma. This shows the band has started the transformation, going into more sophisticated and longer material.

DC, YCBM, Yesterdays , CW could be the singles to promote the album.

Then in 93, UYI II drops. This one is heavier on Axl-ish epics, Continuing the transition and showing a band exploring further and taking chances with the direction of the music.

This is GNR's Led Zeppelin III

This album has a different character to the first one and attempts to be a more cohesive collection of songs:

14 years

LALD

The Garden

NR

DH

DC(Alt)

Breakdown

So Fine

Estranged

Obviously NR and Estranged are the centerpieces. LALD and DH also releases as singles.

There you have, IMO maybe the strongest set of Albums out of the gate from any rock band in history. Led Zep I-IV being the notable exception , and some will make a case for the Beatles.
