Axl should cover this song

I'm listening to this version--the Marvelette's version--and Axl's vocals would fit a arrangement similar to the original, albeit modernized. Like think of a GN'R styl e instrumental reboot of it, but with Axl's raspy vocals in a very similar arrangement to the original. The Beatles covered it, don't see why it'd be bad for Guns to.

I do love the song, but it'd be hilarious seeing Axl sing it.

Picture Axl raspy vocals in the same arrangement as the original. The original singer has that operatic sort of voice ("Whooaaa, yeahhh" etc) that'd suit Axl's wails. It actually might be really good.

I mean I doubt in 1987 one could see GN'R pulling off covering Live and Let Die or Since I Don't Have You but they did it and did it well.

Yeah love that song, but Axl singing it, I don't think so. It's a 60's song and it has a 60's feel to it. I remember that song. It was one of the best motown songs, but since I love the original version, I seriously don't think it's a song Axl could do any better.
