Setlist for the Australian concerts

Good setlist! Lots of songs written by Slash and Izzy - that's what the public wants! :)

Axl plays 6 songs written by Slash. Slash plays 7 songs written by Axl.

Try again cupcake.

Possibly the most silly post ever. Axl Rose or Slash have never 'written' a song. They have have wrote parts of songs, and without each other the songs they contributed to would have meant nothing. You unfortunately missed the point, that the public want this type of setlist. Dismiss this all day long if you want, but its a fact. The general public want to hear the classic songs, not Chinese Democracy.

And while GNR has NEVER played a song co-written by Slash that wasn't also co-written by Axl since Slash left, Slash's band has played multiple songs co-written by Axl that were NOT co-written by Slash.

Um...Mr Brownstone? Think About You?

Doesnt really matter how many old GNR songs Axl plays vs. how many Slash plays, the point is that Axl is the one who made grandiose gestures to differentiate himself from old GNR, from Slash, from AFD, etc etc, yet to this day he continues to play those songs. That's being a bullshitter, a hypocrite.

Shadow -

Axl co-wrote Mr. Brownstone.

Slash did not co-write Think About You.

ZoSo -

So, to you, Slash has more of a right to play GNR songs he didn't write at a Slash solo show than GNR does to play GNR songs at a GNR show?

Uh . . . okay . . .

Axl did fucking not co-write Mr Brownstone, you stating it as fact does not make it so. And I'm pretty sure Slash co-wrote Think About You, and pretty sure Axl had nothing to do with it.

Please don't talk about being "pretty sure" about things I am definitively sure about.

And please calm your tone when "correcting" me about things YOU are incorrect about.

The respectful thing to do would be to tell me that you didn't know that Axl had co-written Mr. Brownstone and to ask me why I believe he did.

Again, you stating things as fact does not make them so. I don't give a fuck why you "believe" Axl did, ALL the substantial evidence says he didn't.

If what you're getting at is that Axl sang on it and therefore influenced it's melody or something, then Slash also co-wrote all Guns songs he played on.

You stating things as fact does not make them so either.

There is substantial evidence that says he did. Clearly you're not aware of said evidence, which is why I will allow you to continue to dig yourself a deeper hole until you ask me why I'm saying Axl co-wrote a song you believe he did not. You think you are right, I know I am right. So we can both reveal our cards whenever you decide it's time. The more ranting and raving you do, the more you insist I am wrong, the sillier you will look when we flip our cards over.

MSL, would you be kind enough to tell me why you are saying Axl co-wrote a song I believe he did not?

According to Wikipedia, "Mr. Brownstone" is credited to Slash / Stradlin'.

That being said, who cares who wrote what or who plays what?

Axl is in Guns N' Roses, Slash used to be in Guns N' Roses. They both have a right to play the songs. This is a stupid argument.

Incorrect. According to Wikipedia, Mr. Brownstone is credited to Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, Steven Adler. It used to list it as Slash/Stradlin, but the writing credits for Appetite got removed. Wikipedia also used to list Slash as the writer of November Rain, so I'm not sure if I'd trust wikipedia.

Regardless, according to Slash, Axl co-wrote the song. But we can let Shadow hang himself more before we get to the bottom of this.

Um, not sure what the issue is anymore, I 'flipped my card' and asked for your evidence. If that's it, I'll check it out. If I was wrong, I'll apologize.

Where was Slash's quote? In his book or an interview?
