All hail Team Brazil!

Under 'professionals' that Axl never genuinely wanted to work with but had to, all we've ever had as fans was empty promises, cancelled tours, endless and repeated waits, unpenetrable mystery, intricate label schemes to coerce a reunion, a publicly non-existent Axl Rose and GN'R besides the odd sporadic, bland interview from Bumblefoot (who tried his best).

Now that Axl has a staff team of which he approves; we've witnsessed strides forward for GN'R.

Facebook and Twitter! An official website and partnership with Backplane. I remember back in 2009, before we were made aware of the imminent tour, this is what he hoped GN'R could, by way of some miracle, embrace.

It was once a battle to secure videos and photographs of Guns N' Roses. Now, we witness scenes such as the Rose Bar or L'Arc where fans with iPhones are centimetres from Axl Rose without him completely flipping out. Also, Team Brazil introduced an official photographer , Kat Benzova, who releases an abundance of photos per show. Unlike a bygone era, it is now taken for granted that we get to see the band in both the live environment but also in a different light, every day we get a photo courtesy of Vanessa or Fernando which shows Axl Rose the person. How many examples of there of these from say, 2001? No more than 10 I would say. Moreover, we have had pro-shot material released and planned for release, again hark back to early 2009, this was a pipedream of ours! Now it's actually a reality (and terribly underappreciated). The London O2 performance of 2012 with Izzy, and a 3D film of the acclaimed Appetite for Democracy Vegas residency. 3D! Everybody would have been laughing a few years ago if you proposed such a possibility.

Of course there's the tour itself, which initially was ran managerless pre-Canada. Look at the length and range of touring. In the last three years GN'R have done three Asian runs including Taiwan, Jakarta and a hugely successful record breaking, sold out India run, three European runs including four sold out nights at London's 02 Arena, five shows in Russia, headlined several sold-out festivals such as Reading and Leeds, Rock In Rio, two record breaking, sold out South American tours, town Australian tours, a sold out tour in Central America, a Canadian tour, a sold out US arena tour, a sold out US club tour (that included The Ritz/Webster Hall in NY, The Electric Company in Philadelphia, The Fillmore in Detroit and The Palladium in Los Angeles), New Year's and a sold out month residency at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, the Middle East, Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit, NY Fashion week gigs w/Varvatos, The Rose Bar and the Hiro Ballroom and a few one off club and private party shows such as at L'Arc in Paris, The Zep in Tokyo and recently for Tommy Hilfiger at LA's The Soho House.

Team Brazil are also responsible, in terms of giving him the morale and push, for the socialite Axl. Not the Howard Hughes depicted at the early part of this century. Jimmy Kimmel, USA Today, interviews in Asia and Japan, an appearance on That Metal Show with Eddie Trunk and co, appearances at various concerts including KISS, attending baseball games, romantic links with very modern influences on music like Lana Del Rey.

And lately it has been revealed, to put the cherry on top, that Team Brazil (who are beginning to get very open about the matter), in accordance with Axl, have devised a tentative plan to drop the follow-up to Chinese Democracy before the end of 2013.

I do not agree.

- the fan club was a disaster

- the touring doesn't seem to have a purpose

- T. Brazil cannot seem to get Axl into a studio

The fan club within the official webpage was limited and could well have been deemed a failure, however Team Brazil quickly pursued another avenue to compensate for that which I alluded to in my post, the backplane, Paradise City. Which is fastly growing in popularity.

How can a tour be analyzed purposeless? Make money, plug the music, increase the fanbase, oil the band, appease the label?

Why would Team Brazil negotiate Axl into the studio when there is already an album to go?

Any other singer says "We're thinking of releasing (song name) the end of this year" and fans would be like "what do you means you're THINKING about it, either you will or you wont."

Axl says it and fans go crazy as if he announced a date and a title.

Cuz us GNR fans are desperate for new music. Moreso than fans of other bands.

I tend to agree NGOG. I've always been surprised at the hatred that the Lebeis family seem to cop from a lot of fans. In my opinion they have offered Axl a lot of stability and we've lately seen much more of him and he seems to be calmer and more content than ever before. The Australian shows didn't even report a single late start, and I think a couple of years ago that would have been unimaginable.

I think despite ripping him to shreds for it people secretly (or not) thrive on the past drama. Happy = boring in some eyes.

The Lebeis management has made some good decisions and some not so great, like all the management GNR has ever had.

I wonder if they will go the distance? Now that break up would put the soap back into soap opera!

And that would relinquish any claim to being a GN'R fan. If you find misery to be more entertaining than the steady development of the band, then you are nothing more than a leech. And I say you plurally not in specific regards to yourself.

Would you care to point out the great decisions which TB have so far gotten wrong? It's alright saying that, but your statement contains no substance.

Things are definately moving in a much better direction. I still wish things could be more normal like almost every other artist. There's still too much secracy, vague responses to new music releases etc. It shouldn't be this hard. Axl definately complicates everything he does, maybe non intentional, but stiill frustrating. I do agree that team Brazil has done a much better job. The proof will be seeing if the blue ray Vegas concert gets released and if some new music drops in the near future. If these two things don't happen soon, this band and the future is going to be very uncertain.

I wouldnt mind a beach towel.

Team Brazil are awesome. Theyve done everything right.

What have they done really that went so good so far? Besides the tour, that we already had in the past with other managers.

Did you not read the OP or is it beyond your grasp on the English language? No ex-manager has ran a 5 year GN'R tour without any real hitch. Edited by NGOG

I think the whole fan club debacle speaks for itself, if they weren't willing to do a proper job that could be classes as a bad decision. The tagged on private gigs on the last tour or at least the decision to not keep the band informed was a questionable decision. I'm not saying they are doing a bad job but just like any management things aren't perfect.

Ok so first of all they haven't been touring for 5 years. They started in December 2009. That's the last month of that year, and they're still touring today...

They did 2009 - 2010 and now they did 2011-2012, and they did this small tour in 2013. With stops in between... so you can't really say they've been touring for 5 years, it's not even nearly 5. 1 month from 2009 + 2 months in 2013 count as 1 year? i don't think so...

Next... they were with Doc part of that tour you're referring to, who then got fired!

Next..."without any real hitch"... you had the episode in Ireland, the episode on Rock In Rio '11, and some shows that were cancelled in 2010 and 2011 (5 in total). I will slightly accept that comment though.

Let's see what did they do more:

- New Website (with no Active newsletter or active news, besides tour dates)

- Nightrain fan club (which became obsolete when they created yet another fan page) Tell me one real good advantage for paying a membership on that website?!

- Paradise City (A Social Page á la GNR for the fans to connect with each other)

- Axl's first 2 televised interviews and other interviews he has given.

- Screening on VH1 of the O2 Show (that was taken out for some reason)

- Beach Towel contest

Prospects:

- DVD with the Vegas show (yet to be released - For that reason, not acomplished yet)

- Talk about a new album with the fans (no guarantees, just normal talk with the fans, which some of you really took it as a guarantee)

Prospects are not acomplishments, be aware of that. What can be a prospect today, could very well be a cancellation tomorrow... you just don't know...

I conceded that the fan club featured on the official website didn't meet anybody's expectations. However, TB quickly ratified that by producing the Paradise City backplane.

The private shows entailed lucrative sums of money (1 million reportedly to do one in Russia) which will help facilitate the plans and aspirations of the camp/Axl.
