Do you think Axl will turn DJ's solos into songs?

I was just listening to the Diver City Appetite for Democracy bootleg and it starts with Axl introducing DJ followed by I think it's Tommy saying "The Number One Smash Hit Mi Amore" which I thought was pretty funny.

I recall in a DJ interview that DJ said he sent 12 songs to Axl in addition to the solo's he played which Axl requested him to record for him.

Do you guys think that the Ballad of Death or Mi Amore have the potential to be turned into GNR songs that Axl can sing on? Personally I feel if Axl can make songs like Silkworms, Scraped, Rhiad... ETC that he can surely turn these two solo spots into interesting tracks for himself and the band. As far as I know DJ wrote all of the parts to the song himself. So I gotta' wonder what they would sound like with the Axl touch. I think they have potential.

What do you fellers think?

Does anyone remember the song that Fortus did at one of the shows? It sounded a lot like old Guns. Now that I would love to see. I'll try to find the video.

Please do... Fortus is a grossly underutilized asset to Axl. Considering he's been in the band for 10 years and hasn't done much that has been released besides his small contributions on CD is an absolute outrage.

I've thought since 2002 that Richard should have been a main song writer, ever since I heard his outro to The Blues. There is just so much more he can do, and just has not gotten the chance. It's just crazy to think he's been in the band for a decade and all we have are mini contributions to CD.

When i was at the Perth show a couple of weeks ago, the crowd seemed to really enjoy Mi Amore. It got a great response. A few people next to me were saying that it would've been good if it was an actual Guns song. And I tend to agree with them.

That song sounds way more like Where the Streets Have No Name...

I don't see that much of a similarity between OMG (Sixx) and Ballad of Death for it to be any conflict. Maybe I'm not hearing it right? I don't think he'd still be playing it if he thought it was a problem.
