lol what is with this tendency for the "hipster" community to randomly attach themselves to random metal bands? You look at all these indie bands and then Baroness just pops out. Same thing with Nachtmystium and Mastodon (though Mastodon doesn't seem as popular with them as they used to be). It just feels so fucking random, because outside of these few bands most of these people would say they think metal sucks.

Anyways it's a very good lineup.

it is something i have noticed and it is kind of weird to me.

the only band you listed that kind of shocked me is nachtmystium, why would hipsters like them for?

Really depressed by this lineup, if accurate. Lolla's gotten weaker and weaker each of the last few years.

Mumford and Sons was just there a couple years ago. So boring. :sleeper: I know they are hot right now, but what a sucky headliner. Got no interest in going this year.

The great thing about Lollapalooza is that they'll never be a nostalgia festival.

Leave that to festivals like Rio.

Stick with your hipster shit then, buddy! I'll stick to Iron Maiden, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, Sebastian Bach, Rob Zombie and other 'nostalgia acts'

The only decent act you posted is Springsteen.

Hell, Bach was never even any good back in the 80s.

went to lolla in 2010, only really cared about muse and the foo fighters but i went with my gf and a bunch of friends. had a blast. was sad i missed last year with sabbath, the chili peppers, and jack white- those were killer headliners. this year is sort of weak but my gf loves it so hopefully we can make it this year.

that being said, id take rock in rio or sonisphere and download any day XD

lolla is a good time though

Mostly looking forward to Friday. The Killers, NIN, and QOTSA is pretty fantastic.

But Sunday I'm looking at Vampire Weekend and Tegan and Sara

If you hadn't said The Killers I would be very angry.

I almost saw them in Chicago back in November, but I bought my ticket was misplaced... :/

Have you seen them before or it will be the first time? I thought you were going to one of their gigs in December or something like that, but I must be wrong.

That was the gig that I missed out on. I lost my ticket and couldn't go.
