Apollo
Since we know Team Brazil reads this forum, this topic is designed as a FRIENDLY reminder to them how much Axl's fans really cherish his music and how eager HIS millions of fans are to keep traveling with Axl down his musical journey. The nostalgic touring is fun, but I just hope that Beta knows that millions of people would pay big money to not only get to buy NEW music from Axl, but to purchase this older stuff as well. There is a market for it..........if Axl/Beta decide to share it with the millions of fans who have supported Axl for decades. The two questions are pretty simple.A box set including all of (or most of) this:Remaining album of CD songs (the best 15 remaining CD songs)Remix album - featuring remixes, acoustic versions and studio recordings of the ACDC/Young/Who covers3D live concert DVD ( or any live concert DVD)Live concert double-CD - featuring all the CD songs that have been played live, plus all the classicsBehind the scenes documentary footage of the CD era dvd (3 hours)Behind the scenes documertary footage of the Illusions era dvd (3 hours) (I read that Axl owned all that footage). The reason I put the box set together like that was to put an end to the CD era and the Bucket/Robin band. So the following album release for GnR would be 100% created by the current band.HOW MUCH WOULD you pay for that box set????Question number two is the same exact box set, plus throwing in Axl's autobiography. Axl_morris
I'd rather they not put out any CD left covers. Why release stuff of an era that doesn't exist. I mean axl never done hall of fame, as it would be promoting GNR In the wrong light, not what you would want to do before embarking on a tour with the current line up.same goes for official releases.I think they know they have a market to sell anything they put out.I'd pay for an axl book and a cover album EP from the seeker, ADC ect. Dariablue
I'd pay a ton just for the Illusions footage alone. I so want to see that. Dammit, Axl.
axlrosefan1
I would definitely pay a large amount for that. I'd be more interested in his autobiography. Also a beach towel if that's okay.
Apollo
I'd pay a ton just for the Illusions footage alone. I so want to see that. Dammit, Axl.That is the point Dariablue. There are SO many things that Axl has in his vault that GnR fans would absolutely KILL to get to enjoy. It baffles the mind that a singer of a rock band wouldn't want to share that band's history with its fans. That is what is so irritating about Axl and Beta. They don't look at their relationship with fans like every other band does. They don't see it as "GnR and the 4 million fans that have supported Axl (some) since 1987". Those millions of fans are the ones who spent their money to purchase Axl's "art".........which now affords Axl to live a lifestyle that nobody on this forum will ever come close to. The money that allows Axl and Beta to live in a multi-million dollar mansion and do whatever they want in life. Buy whatever they want. Do whatever they want.Instead, they see it as Axl Rose and whatever makes him happy. Then fans are further down the importance scale.NOW we all know what the response will be from a certain portion of the posters on here. 'Axl Rose owes you nothing.' And that is 100% correct. He owes us nothing.BUT look at how pretty much every other band in the world looks at this situation. I bet I can pull up quotes from every major band you can name where they say things like "we owe it all to our fans" and "without our fans, we wouldn't be here today."Axl Rose owes us nothing. But it is a shame that he chooses to follow that route, rather than running his company like every other band does. Who realize that without the fans they wouldn't have millions of dollars in the bank........so they think of their fans when they make band decisions. I don't believe Beta and Axl do this. If they did, we'd have more music, more interviews, more dvd releases, more band documentary type stuff, more contact with the fans, etc. Axl, we all love your voice and your music and your creative musical vision. How about throwing the fans a bone and release more than an album every 20 years? Share some of that behind the scenes band footage. The fans are your friends, not your enemy!!!!! The fans are your friends, not your enemy!!!!!I agree with Dariablue. I'd love to have the UYI stuff. Every single show + footage has been professionally filmed and is in Axl's vaults. But Axl isn't the only one in the business keeping the vaults locked. Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant does the same. Jimmy Page has begged him many times over the years to bring out some of the material and Robert always refused. Would anyone still be interested if he'd bring it all out now? I can't even guess why they're so anal about bringing out good stuff on dvd and share it with the fans. I have no clue. And I bet they are not the only ones in the business who keep their material locked up.I do have the GnR 1991-06-13 Spectrum, Philadelphia show on dvd and it's a killer show - but I'd give a ton for the official top quality dvd from that show. And what did we get in the end, instead of a good show? Tokyo 1992... I was baffled. No, Axl owes us nothing, but like you say: It's a shame...Yeah... I'd throw in a 250 for a UYI box plus an autobiography. Maybe even more. Dariablue
I can't see him doing an autobiography anytime soon and I definitely don't see him releasing the Illusions footage unless something crazy drastic happens...or it gets stolen. His hate for the old band is strong. He doesn't want them, especially Slash, to get any money or recognition from it. I know they were going to make a documentary about the tour with all that footage. How amazing would that be?
liers
$1000 for CD left overs, biography, 2001 new years shows, and a cd from the new band.I'd pay a ton just for the Illusions footage alone. Johnny Drama
Give me the remaining CD songs and the book. the rest is trash. And I would pay $50.
