I miss the more experimental Pikes like Factory or Telescape.

Same, or the more thematic pikes like Twilight Constrictor, Night Gallery or Cutout Animatronic.  I don't want to say his recent output has been too one-dimensional, but it's very stale compared to the usual Bucket standards..

Most of the Pikes are basically 30 minute jams with a drum machine but Bucket's parts used to be much more creative.

Hate to say it but after almost two decades of being a Bucket completist, including his guest back catalogue, I recently timed out at Pike c. 290. Too repetitive and uninspired these days. He needs a new band, with a real drummer, to push him creatively.

That's sadly how I've been feeling nowadays as well; something changed for him creatively, when he started using paintings near-exclusively as his album cover artwork, aggressively started selling paintings and other artworks over music, and the music's more just riff collections than proper songs.  Touring might help him get back into his usual self, but there's no sign of a tour happening again.

I was hoping a lot more would have come out of his tour a few years ago with Brain.
