I thought Axl had blown his voice after 2010???

ummm....this incredibly reviewed show (many press reviews done for this show, some noting it as one of the best rock shows on the planet in 2012, or proclaiming GNR the best live, hard rock act in the world), must have just happened by luck, cause after reading this board, I thought after 2009/2010 Axl was just toast? Came across this performance, it must have just been altered by the bootlegger....man he did a ton of work to auto-tune this, or whatever one does to add that "rasp" and perfect pitch and phrasing??? How can Axl sound, like, better than he ever has in his life? And the band, they are pretty good too (Eugene Stinson and Fortus have a bit of soul don't they now)... :shades:

Some people here on this forum just really like the rasp. My view is that on a normal night - with or without it - Axl’s singing is so unique and loaded with charisma

that I do not miss the rasp. His voice might even flow better and with more power without it.

Better than ever? Please.

Are there any other boots of this quality out there from this era? It's REALLY good.

That's from Argentina, 1993 first night. You can get a really high quality version of the entire gig on the internet. Look it up.

Original and real Guns N' Roses are the best! rock3

Axl's voice sounded amazing in 2010, man...

It certainly did...only problem with that specific performance is that Axl kinda of ran out of breath before the guitar solo....

It's a great This I Love indeed. Street of Dreams from this show is pretty nice too. The Jungle from this show still makes me chuckle though. You'd think a pro-shot Jungle from 2010 would be guaranteed to be one of the best ever performances of it captured yet Axl is out of breath the whole time and it's one of the weakest Jungle performances from 2010. Guns N' Roses is cursed when it comes to pro-shot performances.

Maybe someday we hear that 2010 powerhouse again!! I miss that too..

Btw, I just realized that The Seeker and Don't let it bring you down are both in movie American beauty. Offtopic...

DLIBYD is not on the soundtrack: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_beauty_soundtrack

Otherwise it would be very easy to deduce what songs they'd cover next :)
