Shackers I would say elements of nu-metal but it's combined with a lot of other things going on. More gritty electronica.

I hear Got the Life by Korn meets Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

To me it sounds like nu metal.

Coma seems kind of like a Metallica song. To me metal is very general term. GNR always had a thrash metal element. UYI has very metal sound, mike clink produced Rust in peace too.

When megadeth covered No more Mr Nice guy that to me sounded very GNR.

I have always been so confused why when people talk about what metal music is they need it to sound a very specific way to count.

By metal music do you mean those rock songs where they sing into the mic in a very ugly non-melodic way ? if so then count me out

The greatest arguement for a metal GNR record is Chinese Democracy and even it falls short of the genre. Scraped is probably the closest you'll get.

As I said, GNR's output it as all a variant of Hard Rock.

there are lots of metal elements in the GNR. They are not a band that can be put in a box rock, hardrock this and that.. i have never liked that kind of generalisation. Its a made up way of making structure and order. There are elements of all kind of music in GNR.
