How come I can no longer click on YouTube videos within a thread?Nothing is happening when I click on em on my phone.

Hmm,seemed to work just now. Lol don't know what the problem was. But have noticed it doing it before also.

What exactly is happening? Like, if there's a YouTube video in a thread and you hit the "Play" button, it just acts as if it hasn't been clicked?

Correct. As if it is an unclickable image. It works at times but I've noticed it most when the video is in the OP. It might be that some copy and plaste the link in while others use the url icon?

I always copy and paste what's in the URL. As simple as it sounds, have you tried clearing cache and cookies and trying it again?

I'll post different links when I get home from work for you guys to try to see if you get the same results.

Also worth pointing out, if I change trhe setting to desktop then there is no issue. It is only in the mobile version that I experience the issue.

What model of phone are we talking about, and are you using the full skin or the mobile skin?

I'm happy to try to help you out, but this really seems like an issue with your phone rather than the forum. Some handsets just aren't particularly reliable playing embedded YouTube videos (it's intensive work for a small processor) - this is why many of them include a YouTube player or app outside the browser.

If you use iOS (iPhone) or Android, you can always try installing a different web-browser (like Chrome)... this might help?

I have the iPhone5 and use Safari. Issue is with the mobile skin (full skin is fine but isn't that eye-pleasing on the i5) and doesn't happen all the time. Strange...

Thanks for the info. I was testing on the full skin, I'll try it out with the mobile and look into it.

Works for me now. The video (when not clicked) doesn't fit in the window but that's not really a big deal.

Cool. Turns out there was a bug to fix:

Other people are complaining about it not fitting in the window too, but not sure if there's much that can be done about that.

Yes working now. Ty : )

The day that I actually noticed the bug was when I made this topic. It had worked perfectly fine prior to that day. So didn't know if you guys had done an update or something on your end or what. Just know it started acting sketchy only working here n there.

Doesn't fit in my window either. But it's working! :)
