Scenario: Axl tour the world with the same voice/hunger as 2010 performing the back catalogue, or singing new songs in his present voice

Can you give me any examples of how nugnr is so boldly and artistically innovative?

Have you listened to Chinese Democracy? It's innovative in every way. Name me a record which incorporates such an array of genres and not merely in the sense of individual songs but within each song. Consider the context of GNR, consider the preconcieved ideas of what GNR should be and how Chinese Democracy is so juxtaposed with that expectation. There are few if any records out there boldly shunning its own discography in favour of something so radical or managing to satisfy every variation of 'rock'.

I don't think it's innovative since we've seen bands such as Zepp, Beatles and Queen incorporate lots of genres in one record, but by today's standart, not many bands did that. In fact over the past 20 years or so I'd struggle to name mainstream bands that managed to do that. But yes, some of those songs weren't what you'd expect from a mainstream rock band, and again I'll name some of the guitar playing as innovative and or complex/unexpected.

I would like to hear the Chinese Democracy leftovers 'cause I'm interested in what Buckethead and Finck wrote when they were in Guns. That said, current Axl vocals are damn awful so no matter how good the song is, it would sound bad.

I don't know what to pick, I guess new songs?

Axl should adapt his voice and singing technique for the new songs and start singing them!

IMO he doesn't necessarily need to sing the exact same way he did 20 years ago. I mean, it's impressive to listen to his huge vocal range on records like Nightrain, but I don't think he needs to hit those almost unreachable high notes to create a good song. He still has a great voice to work with, without sounding like Mickey.

I put down 2010 Voice because I'm sick of hearing Axl Micky up the songs.

That being said... even if we got a new double album the live set would still have all of those AFD Staples, hence my vote.

Although... there's nothing I enjoyed more than listening to The Blues back in 2001 - 2002.
