Will Governor's Ball be the toughest crowd yet for GNR?

How does Axl react to such an overwhelmingly hostile crowd? I don't think the Dublin piss hecklers or even Download 2006 will compare to the level of animosity GNR will experience at GB. Even if the last minute preparations in Brooklyn go to plan; it seems this type of festival is determined to give Axl and co hell anyway. Is there one iota of possibility GNR can win such a crowd over and leave with any degree of respectability? This is a truly urban event which will garner people largely there to see Kanye and Nas.

I think it's going to prove very difficult to win the crowd over. It's a very contemporary lineup, and GN'R seem an odd choice on the bill.

If they pull it off, it has the potential to give Axl some credibility when he could really use it.

If I were Axl I would cut every Chinese Democracy song except Better and play an 18 song set of the big numbers opening with Jungle.

Maybe a 15-song set with less band jams, solo spots, etc... THEY WILL COMPLAIN.

Axl is going to be a real life parody of Twitter's Bad Luck Brian. Greatest hits set, characteristically ill-prepared for everything but in this instance agrees to warm up performance, solid vocals and band, quite punctual getting onstage.

Hit by bottles of piss.

The Governor's Ball features two "headliners" playing at the same time each night. In GnR's case, Nas is playing on another stage at the same time. That setup should weed out a good portion of people who have zero interest seeing Guns/Axl.

The best thing they could do is hit the stage timely and play a nice brisk 1.5 hour show.

If Nas gets the big crowd why doesn't Axl just pull out One in a Million? At least it'll get the crowd over even if it's only to pull out handguns and physically try to shoot Axl?
