Your Top 5 albums of the 1970's

My music listening tendencies tend to jump all around decades and genres every few months, and since February or so I've been in full 60's/70's mode. Just wondering what your five favorite albums of the decade are.

I think mine would be something like...

1. Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon (1973)

2. Bruce Springsteen - The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle (1973)

3. David Bowie - Station to Station (1976)

4. The Clash - London Calling (1979)

5. Van Morrison - Moondance (1970)

Not a very unique list, I suppose. Curious to see some other lists.

I was going to pick just one Bowie record, but fuck it, I probably could have justified picking five. Resisted picking Exile because I usually prefer Sticky Fingers.

All five of these were under consideration for my fifth spot. If I made another list tomorrow, it's entirely possible I'd prefer Harvest, Sticky Fingers, and Ziggy Stardust to Moondance and London Calling.

4- Paco de Lucía - Almoraima

This was actually so much harder than I thought it would be so I'll stick with the first five that came to mind.

Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street

Sex Pistols - Nevermind The Bollocks

Tom Waits - Heart of Saturday Night

The Doors - L.A Woman

AC/DC - Highway To Hell

And that's missing out 70s Aerosmith, Dylan, Ramones, PiL, Patti Smith, Fleetwood Mac. And Raw Power. I could pick a bunch of different lists thinking about it.

Guest Len B'stard

Nevermind the Bollocks - Sex Pistols

Raw Power - The Stooges

L.A.M.F - Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers

New York Dolls - New York Dolls

The Ramones - The Ramones

Thats top five out of guitar based whiteboy music  although bollocks would top greatest of all time list, regardless of anything.
