In my opinion, Richard and Bumblefoot will not get a GNR song writing credit.

Richard has played with GNR since 2002 and didn't get any notable contributions on Chinese Democracy. Even less than Bumblefoot who only came in in 2006. While you all praise his live chops and rightly so, he has no standing in GNR as a writer. Bumblefoot has also yet to get a credit under Axl aside from adding parts to existing songs.

Dj came in in 2009 and has already written quite a lot of material for Axl even claiming recently that Axl was going to join him in his studio. With Axl already having 30 plus songs to work with, as well as Dj bringing his stuff to the table, I don't think Richard and Ron will be given anything other than parts in the forseeable future.

Richard probably should have some credit for the chorus riff in Better.

I hope you are wrong, though, in regards to Richard, because I really like him. But you could be right, it is strange that he wasn't credited on CD. Hopefully it is just a coincidence.

I hope Richard gets some songwriting spotlight in the future. He's by far a better fit for GnR than Ashba and BBF, IMO. I'd love to see Axl doing something with Blacklight Jesus. It'd be really Nice Boys/Reckless Lifeish.

Daren Fucking loud mouthed media whore emo douchebag Jay "Slashba" can claim whatever the fuck he wants. I can send Axl a song and say "Just sent a demo to Axl, hope he likes it" and it still wouldn't mean a thing.

His songwriting values aside ultimately Dj can induce the simplicity that was lacking with Chinese.

What's complex in Chinese songwriting-wise? Nothing at all. It's pretty simple actually. Edited by Bruno Poeys

Ron has a lot more ability than what you guys give him credit for. I think if he is overlooked in the songwriting process it would be a major waste of a really good resource

Don't get me wrong. I am merely speculating as to what Axl's position may be. I would love for Bumblefoot and Richard to be given a deserved opportunity at writing for GNR. But I honestly suspect that they are, in the the view of Axl, primarily live members. Dj seems to be the only guitarist that Axl is genuinely interested in writing with on a personal level.

Vibe i get from Freese and Stinson is I dont give a fuck. Fortus maybe the same in a morw intelligent way. Im surprised Ron cares. Only Dj seems like he really expects. But at this point they all know this is GNR.

I think Axl likes to collab on a record. So everyone will get their chance to shine.

Dj has only been part of this since 2009 his enthusiasm is yet to wane. Consider the fresh faced Richard when he enlisted in 2002 or even Ron in 2006, being in GNR inevitably takes its toll. Nobody has had a blowout like Ron in 2010 where he vented his frustrations in a really intense and public way.

Undoubtedly everybody will get their parts. I am not questioning that. Every current member of GNR will feature on a future release assuming that happens. Richard and Ron have already added there parts years ago now and Dj has repeatedly talked about working under Axl. I think what we'll get if an album happens is a majority of Chinese Democracy II maybe III as well as Axl-Dj inspired concepts.

I'm willing to bet my botom dollar that Axl has not heard a single note of music DJ has recorded.

Given that Dj and Axl have jammed in hotel rooms, coupled with the fact that Axl was lined up to visit Dj's studio and possibly did, I'd say you're wrong.
