How many of you would agree that Don't cry (UYI 2) is lyric-wise better than the original?

Problem with the alt lyrics is that the harmonies going into the chorus were written to the original. It always jars for me around 1.40.

In alt lyrics it goes 'all love is real' and then another Axl comes out of nowhere going 'hayayayayayad' for no apparent reason, whereas in the original it just flows straight from 'and the times we.....'

Don't Cry (alt. lyrics) is one of my most fave songs of all time. Never liked original lyrics version though.
