Cosmo
I know this year has been a HUGE year in terms of album releases and that everybody's either into Yeezus or 13 right now but here's a tip: Listen to Ex-Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale's Keep Moving album. It's really good. Really different from Wolfmother (glad he decided to release it as a solo album). If anyone's heard it, please let me know what you think! I love it! Here's a couple of songs I see as the standouts:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nILFv0E6bk
DirtyDeeds
Jeez, I suspect this guy makes Weird Al Yankovich look sexy.Only heard a little bit of Wolfmother, but to me, someone who hasn't heard much, it sounds basically the same.Sounds pretty good, though. I might pick it up and give it a shot. I'm for whomever wants to pretend it's still the '70s Edited June 20, 2013 by DirtyDeeds
Crash Diet
The guy is talented and Wolfmother is always an one man game
CheapJon
Had no idea that this had been released! Thanks for that!13 and yeezus? Meh.
Cosmo
Yeah... Promotion is next to none! Don't get it... It's a really good album, it's got a fee fillers but overall very solid! I love Wolfmother, my second favorite band... I've been waiting for this album for a long time and releasing it as a solo effort was the best thing Andrew did. It's awesome but it doesn't sound like a Wolfmother album. A few tracks like Ghetto, Vicarious and Meridian have that Sabbath-esque feeling but the rest doesn't, it's a really down to earth album. Cosmo
Here's an awesome interview I found on Youtube where Andrew mentions both Axl Rose and Slash, and how the By The Sword collaboration happened, mostly in the end. ...And here's a cool performance of one of the album's songs, Let Somebody Love You. I think it's great. Edited June 26, 2013 by Cosmonaut

That was great although i like his Josh Freese impression better. "I think we should listen to Mr. Valentine" hahaKeep moving is a great record, been listening to it since it got posted on sound cloud a while back. MEXzilla
Plant impersonators are cheesy.
Cosmo
Plant impersonators are cheesy. He's not a plant impersonator. He's got a similar singing style be he has his own traits. You could say Steven Tyler is a Plant impersonator too, couldn't you? His music is much more Sabbath inspired than Zeppelin inspired. If you want Plant impersonators, go listen to Rival Sons. That's a Plant impersonator. Andrew sounds like a sheep singing, Robert Plant sounds like a cat in heat.

I'm happy it was released as Andrew Stockdale. It wouldn't fit with the other two albums, which are way better, IMO. I've been a Wolfmother fan since Cosmic Egg and since then it's been a rocky road for Wolfmother so when this got released I was relieved. Favorite songs are Long Way Down, Keep Moving, Ghetto, Meridian, Black Swan and Everyday Drone.

Cosmic Egg did even though it was a different lineup but this ones a bit different has a bit of rock & roll swagger as opposed to the Classic Metal sound of the WM records. First time I heard Keep Moving on a live youtube video, I expected a slow, heavy riff for a chorus. Same thing for Long Way Down. But they worked out pretty well without it. Vicarious, Meridian and Ghetto would have been fit for a Wolfmother album, though.

It wouldn't make sense for him to record another WM album with a different line-up. Hoping it happens. Now Andrew's got his own thing where he can have all the creative control for himself, he might be up for some teamwork on WM.
