Vincent Vega
What I mean is, does anyone else believe that no other tracks (with the exception of that Jackie Chan track) exist? That the reason we haven't seen a second album is because, outside of bits and pieces of studio jams maybe, no real second album (be it by the Bucket era lineup or this current lineup) exists?Slash once said Axl considered what was nothing more than him playing guitar to be a "song". When it was really just guitar riffs and far from what most would consider a "song".Axl said there was 32 "songs". Maybe all those "songs" are are chopped up bits of nonsense from various sessions.Given it has been 5 years--HALF A FUCKING DECADE-- with no hint or whisper or any real talk of a new album, does anyone else believe now that CD may have been the only completed material Axl had?Maybe the label in 2008 just demanded whatever Axl had in a finished form, cobbled together a release from some ideas he had in terms of artwork etc, old ideas, and threw it out there, to make some sort of return and wash their hands of Mr. Rose? That would explain songs like TWAT and IRS having 10 year old vocal tracks, the messed up booklet with errors, the lack of promotion or enthusiasm by Axl after release....It wasn't "Chinese Democracy", it was just a cobbled together compilation-esque mess of everything Axl had in a completed form thrown out there in some deal with the label, so they could be done with him.And that's all there was in terms of new material. weaponsnflowers
I don't know what to believe, I HOPE there is more. Although, it doesn't matter one fucking bit if that stuff is locked away somewhere. So actually it doesn't really matter if there is other material or not. Not until it is released.
PedoGNR
5 years after "Sympathy for the Devil," we already had 2 singles -- "Oh My God" and "Sweet Child O' Mine '99" --we had a double-live album, and we had a title for the next album -- Chinese Democracy. All that during GN'R's most underground period. All that during the time when the band broke up and reformed more than once.Compare that with 5 years out from Chinese Democracy ....
Hollywood Gunner
i definitely think there will be another album... which might be gnr's last album ever realeased unfortunately... but we will hear new stuff... dont know when but when we get a release date, they will stick to it this time... gnr cant afford to miss another release date... maybe the reason theyre sick of fans askin for a new album is cuz thats what made them jump the gun on the last release date ? not a mistake id make twice, thats for sure Edited July 17, 2013 by Hollywood Gunner
Apollo
I've always believed that there would be new music. The current band has stuck with Axl for a very long time now, and they deserve their chance to imprint their stamp on the GnR name.Unfortunately, it sure seems like Beta and her children do NOT have any interest in seeing Axl share music with his MILLIONS of fans. They are happy with Axl just touring the back catalog and raking in as much money as possible. She thinks a fan asking about a new album is just more "complaining." Keep in mind, Axl has released ONE album in the last 20 years. That tells you ALL you need to know about Beta and her motives.Unfortunately, and this actually makes me sad to say, as long as Beta and her children are running this band.........we probably won't ever get new music. And what a shame that is.

And what a shame that is.I can understand Beta's motives for keeping Axl touring--he's their money making ho, as long as he's touring and raking in petty cash, Beta, Fermanager and Vanessa can live their own high class lifestyles and see the world. She's the pimp, he's the money making ho. And Axl makes enough money to keep furnishing his own lavish lifestyle while having to do the bare minimum. For Axl, Beta, and the Lebeis Co., it's a mutually beneficial arrangement.But...Why would it not be in her interest for him to release a new album? That'd just be more money her way indirectly, as I'm sure Axl takes care of the Lebeis Family out of his own pocket anyway.

Cosmo
It's a fact that Atlas Shrugged was left out because of the CD time limit. Then there's Jackie Chan. There's Silkworms and Oh My God. Baz wouldn't have said all that shit about The General if it were just a riff, or part of a song. There's more stuff than we know. I beliece there are at least 10 complete songs, ready to be re-recorded by the current band just sitting there. Add that to Going Down and an Axl/Ashba song, that, by this point, is likely to exist in some way and we've got an album. If Axl wanted, he could have an EP or album out by the end of the year. Sucks that they're all in it for the money now.
supercool
Axl said there was 32 "songs". Maybe all those "songs" are are chopped up bits of nonsense from various sessions.when bands record an album, they put together a lot of songs but they only release the best ones.metallica writes around 30 songs before they record an album but only 12 or 13 are actually released.axl probably has a lot of sketches in his vaults.... but i would be ready to bet that the part which deserves to be released is very small
themadcaplaughs
As we've compiled from different sources we haveAtlas ShruggedOh My GodSilkworms Goin' DownJackie Chan/Blood in the WaterBerlin/Oklahoma Soul MonsterThe GeneralRon talked about "Atlas Shrugged" being ready to go for Chinese Democracy; Baz has mentioned hearing "The General." Axl talked to that one guy after a show about wanting "Silkworms" to be on the next album. The Antiquiet dude (cannot remember his name at the moment) said there are 10 tracks floating around. They're good and ready (or very close to ready) to go. Whether we see them any time soon or not is up for debate.
Guest NGOG
It's a nonsense conspiracy. Sebastian Bach, Kerrang, Classic Rock Mag and MSL can all vouch for the fact that a wealth of unreleased material exists. As somebody else has pointed out Kevin Cogill said that upto 10 tracks were being traded amongst industry types.
November_rain
Of course "CDII" as you call it exists but only Axl and co. know the reasons why we don´t have any new music yet.I remember when people said that Chinese Democracy would never be released and how they freaked out once they had it on their hands. jmapelian
Well, if OMG and silkworms are two of the ten than we know @ least 2 songs suck balls; so most likely, the majority of the 10 suck balls and we're better of without CD2
